Ralph Albert initiated a discussion if it would be more beneficial to pay the tractor off vs putting money towards a CD.
Chairperson Skrzeczkoski explained that the debt is able to be used on the Tax Levy Worksheet, towards the Town’s
tax levy.
John Becker brought forward concerns regarding the state of Victory Rd and school buses that need to go down the
middle of the road; if they go to close to the shoulder they possible risk tipping over. His concern was it appears that
the Town doesn’t have a plan when it comes to maintaining the roads, that nothing is being done to prevent them
from deteriorating and that if something were to happen to a school bus with children on, the Town would be open to
lawsuits. Discussion ensued regarding the costs of repairing Victory Road to State specs, budgets and the Town has
only so much money and the Town is doing the best that it can with the funds that it receives. Bill Kiggins suggested
that perhaps it would be more cost efficient to turn Victory Rd into a gravel road. The new board may need to take
that into consideration.
Ralph Albert requested if there was any follow-up regarding including his request from 2024 regarding the additional
details are required in the Annual Report including dates when revenue was received, expenditures need to include
check number, dates and amounts Deputy Clerk Skrzeczkoski read Ch 60.41 from the WI State Statutes, which
states the report only includes the previous year’s revenues, expenditures and the current indebtedness of the Town.
He questioned the oversight that occurs so the Town doesn’t have similar results as a couple of other Town’s in the
area. The Board assured the residents that each invoice and credit card purchase has 5 sets of eyes reviewing
statements. The Treasurer and Clerk books are audited annually.
Chairperson Skrzeczkoski made a recommendation to the new Board that either fence be constructed around the
Country Wireless tower or the Tower should be taken down.
Ralph Albert made a motion that the budget hearing meeting is held November 12,2025 at 5:30pm. Seconded by Kurt
Drexler. Motion carried 15 ayes 0 nays, 2 excused.
