6. Supervisor Erickson spoke to Kafka in Merrill about the potential material and equipment cost to apply dust suppression to the
Town’s roads. The Board discussed the option of the Town purchasing a trailer to apply the dust suppression chemicals. Roy
Skrzeczkoski notified the Board that there is a pelletized form that can be applied. The Town may explore the option of sharing
application costs and equipment with the Town of Carson.
7. Shaw’s Wrecking Yard LLC has recently been purchased by Burrows West. Supervisor Trelka stated that nothing should change with
the Town’s recycling center as a result of the change of ownership.

9. Clerk Martin noted that during the April 15, 2025, Annual Town Meeting, the electors improperly set the 2026 Annual Town
Meeting date to April 18, 2026. Per Wisconsin Statute 60.11, the annual town meeting must legally be held on the third Tuesday of
April or within ten days thereafter. Clerk Martin was advised by a Wisconsin Towns Association lawyer that because of the improperly
set date, the annual town meeting for 2026 must now be held on the third Tuesday of April: April 21, 2026.
10. As of today, the Board is taking bids for an old metal desk located inside the town hall that is no longer used. Any person
interested in taking ownership of the desk must submit their sealed bid to the Town Clerk by the start of the 6:00 PM Board Meeting
on February 11, 2026, during which time the bids will be opened.
11. Announcements and Dates to Remember:
a. The Town is going through a large amount of sand because of icy roads. The road supervisor will ask the Town of Knowlton if
they would be willing to apply brine and use their belly plow on Lake Road because of severely poor road conditions.
b. The Town tractor will be paid off this year. At next month’s meeting the Board will discuss a capital plan.
c. Next Town Board Meeting is February 11, 2026
