1. The meeting was called to order at 6:00pm by Chairperson Drexler. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
2. Minutes from the June 11, 2025, Town Board meeting were read.
Motion by Supervisor Erickson to approve the minutes. Seconded by Supervisor Trelka.
3 ayes / 0 nays. Motion carried.
3. Chairperson Drexler moved to place the Treasurer’s report on file.
4. There were no Plan Commission items discussed.
5. Submitted bids for waste and recycling services were not reviewed and were destroyed. Bids will be resubmitted by interested
parties and reviewed by the Board at next month’s meeting because of a discrepancy between the submission date written on the
certified letter mailed to Waste Management and the submission date given verbally to GFL Environmental and Harter’s.
6. Roger Skrzeczkoski, Sr. notified the Board that there is no payment pending from the DNR on past work done on Swamp Lane,
which was incorrectly identified as Memory Lane on last month’s meeting minutes.
7. Chairperson Drexler noted that the Town is working with Badger State Services for dust suppression, but with the recent rain this
work has not been performed yet.
8. Pricing from 2023 for the Town’s Spring and Fall cleanup service was reviewed and compared to Portage County solid waste and
recycling fees. New prices were set and can be found on the Town website Waste Disposal page.
Motion by Supervisor Erickson to approve the prices. Seconded by Supervisor Trelka.
3 ayes / 0 nays. Motion carried.
9. Clerk Martin notified the Board that the Town is currently paying $57 per liquor license to public notice each license in the Stevens
Point Journal and only charging each applicant $45 for their license. Wisconsin statute will be reviewed to determine what the Town
can legally charge for this fee and the Board will reassess this agenda item at next month’s meeting.
10. Clerk Martin shared the three roof repair opinions and estimates she received and the Board does not want to restore the entire
roof. Supervisor Erickson requested another estimate, specifically looking at the flashing along the edges of the East side of the back
of the shop, the fire department above the doors on the West side, and above the front entrance of the building.
11. Clerk Martin shared the four flooring estimates she received for installing LVP or a concrete coating to replace the existing carpet
in the Town Hall. Supervisor Erickson requested estimates on installation of new carpet. The Board unanimously agreed that LVP is
not an option they want to pursue and will review options at next month’s meeting.
12. Chairperson Drexler asked that we revisit the idea of adding a sign outside the Town Hall if a good opportunity presents itself.
13. Supervisor Erickson requested that Mr. Kiggins prepare some elevations and the Board will review his request next month.
14. Chairperson Drexler noted that an attorney will issue a letter to Norman Helmuth to remove tile; the Town will reshape the ditch.
15. Announcements: The next Town Board Meeting will be on August 13, 2025.
16. After hearing questions and concerns from the public –
Motion by Supervisor Erickson to pay bills and adjourn. Seconded by Supervisor Trelka.
