Board Meeting October — Minutes

October 9, 2024 Monthly Town Board Meeting -APPROVED Board Members Present: Roger Skrzeczkoski Sr, Leif Erickson, Wayne Trelka, Sue Stroik, Sue Skrzeczkoski, Others Present: Bill Kiggins, Marge Wojcik, Mary Erickson, Marlene Furo, Bonnie & Mark Fredrickson, Steve Kieliszewski, Karen & Roger Dobbs, Dave Erickson, Les & Kathy Metzler The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Skrzeczkoski. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Minutes from the September 11th monthly meeting were read. Motion by Supervisor Erickson to accept the minutes as read. Seconded by Supervisor Trelka. Motion carried 3 ayes, 0 nays. Chairperson Skrzeczkoski moved to place the Treasurer’s report on file. Plan Commission correspondence a. Sara Ann Kinninger, permit for deck b. Leonard Flatoff, Camper permit Chairperson Skrzeczkoski gave an overview of road work that has been completed in the past month Discussion regarding the Road Right of Way at the corner of Pacyna Rd & County Road G. Motion by Supervisor Erickson to approach the landowner one more time, if no resolution to have Town Attorney send letter to restore the ditch. Seconded by Supervisor Trelka. Motion carried 3 ayes, 0 nays. Chairperson gave a brief overview of the results of the inspection performed at the town hall by the Dept of Safety and Professional Services. Violations were the lack of a safety/health program, noncompliant plastic gas containers, drill press not secured to keep from moving, fire extinguishers not being checked monthly. The Town is actively working on making the required corrections. Chairperson Skrzeczkoski made an update on the Town’s equipment. Chairperson Skrzeczkoski was notified by Sheriff Lucas, that the sexual offender, that was located at 2873/2875 County Road O has been removed and no longer resides at that location. Supervisor Trelka discussed the additional updates to the Hazard Mitigation Plan for the Town of Eau Pleine. Updates this month focused on Hazard Risk & Vulnerability Summary An application has been received from Roy Skrzeczkoski for the full-time position. Motion by Supervisor Erickson to accept the application and arrange for an interview. Seconded by Supervisor Trelka. Motion carried, 2 ayes, 0 nays and 1 abstained Chairperson Skrzeczkoski Sealed bids are being accepted for Miller Stick Welder and 30 15 gallon oil container with pump.
