BOARD OF REVIEW – May 16, 2024 APPROVED The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Skrzeczkoski. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Roll Call: Roger Skrzeczkoski Sr, Wayne Trelka, Leif Erickson, Susan Skrzeczkoski, Assessor CJ Becker Clerk Skrzeczkoski confirmed that Board of Review (BOR) an Open Book were noticed in three locations, along with publication of BOR. Motion by Supervisor Erickson to select Roger Skrzeczkoski Sr, as Chair for BOR. Seconded by Supervisor Trelka. Motion carried 2 ayes, 0 nays, 2 abstain by Chairperson Skrzeczkoski, Clerk Skrzeczkoski Motion by Supervisor Erickson to select Supervisor Trelka, Vice Chairperson for BOR. Seconded by Chairperson Skrzeczkoski. Motion carried 3 ayes, 0 nays, 1 abstain by Supervisor Trelka. Supervisor Erickson verified that he had completed the annual mandatory training requirements. It was verified that the Town has an ordinance for the confidentiality of income and expense information provided to the Assessor under state law (Wis Stat. § 70.47(7)(af)) Verify that the Town has an ordinance for the confidentiality of income and expense information provided to the Assessor under state law (Wis Stat. § 70.47(7)(af)). Assessor CJ Becker reviewed the Personal Property Exemption, effective 1/1/2024, due to the creation of Act 12. Exempt personal property will not have a 2024 assessment or 2024 property tax bill. Motion by Supervisor Erickson to amendment to policy regarding the procedure for sworn telephone testimony and sworn written testimony for BOR 2024 as optional. Seconded Supervisor Trelka. Motion carried by 4 ayes, 0 nays. Clerk Skrzeczkoski did not receive any BOR hearing requests. The Assessment Roll was examined, there were no corrections. There were no taxpayers present to examine the assessment data. Motion by Chairperson Skrzeczkoski to adjourn. Seconded by Supervisor Erickson. Motion carried 4 ayes. 0 nays.
