income households outside the City of Madison.
o $600,000 in home funding is distributed annually
o No cost to the Town of Blue Mounds
o We are members for a 3-year period, with an automatic renewal unless we opt out
o All 59 Municipalities excluding the City of Madison participate in the Dane County UCC.
• John Brixy reported that he has spent a lot of time and hours down at the legislature. Future
road funding for towns was one of the main topics. Mr. Brixy was told that in the past, each
year the Towns Association lobbied for more funding per road mile for all Towns in the state.
There was a large increase in this last budget, but that’s not the direction it appears that the
State wants to go in the future. The state is looking for Towns to use LRIP and ARIP for road
repairs. Mr. Brixy’s suggestion is to set up a “sinking fund”, to set aside moneys to apply for
LRIP or ARIP projects in the future. Discussion followed. No action taken.
