NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Blooming Grove Town Board will meet on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at 5:30 PM for a Public Hearing to consider the vacation of an unused portion of the Gannon Avenue right-of-way in the Town Hall located at 1880 S. Stoughton Road, Madison, Wisconsin. The following is the MEETING AGENDA: 1. Order of Business a. Call meeting to order; remind attendees to sign in b. Roll call c. Summary of prior action to begin the process that includes passage of a resolution by the Town Board, recordation of a lis pendens with the Dane County Register of Deeds, notification served onto the affected property owner (Town of Blooming Grove), and posting/publication of the public hearing notice b. Stoughton Road, Madison, Wisconsin to consider the vacation of the Gannon Avenue right-of-way from Thurber Avenue to the railroad right-of-way to the south in the northeast quarter of Section 5 of the Township of Blooming Grove as determined by the Town Board at their May 13, 2026 meeting by Resolution 2026-03 and as recorded by lis pendens with the Dane County Register of Deeds on May 18, 2026. There is no existing road currently or planned in this location. The Town Board will meet following the adjournment of the public hearing to consider a final resolution to vacate the aforementioned right-of-way.
