Supervisor Young moved to approve David Porto as the appointed agent for Blue Plate Catering for 2025-2026 (6200 Millpond Road); 2 nd by Supervisor Schroeder. Motion carried 5-0. 2k. Insurance renewal: Wright presented the proposal from The Horton Group for 2025-2026 coverage. He noted that the premiums did not change appreciably, but that the deductible for vehicles/mower/trailer/chipper increased from $250 to $1,000. The premium for Worker’s Compensation coverage decreased slightly from $4,480 to $4,035. Wright recommended the approval of the commercial package, worker’s compensation, and public officials bond, but was less certain whether the Cyber Liability insurance coverage of $100,000 should be renewed at a rate of $664.35. Wright stated he recommended for the Board to consider cloud storage of office computer files, regardless whether the cyber coverage is approved, so that any catastrophic failure of equipment can be restored quickly with minimal disruption. There followed a brief review of the current level of cyber insurance coverage and the options for $1,000,000 and $2,000,000 coverage. Without objection, Wright will reach out to The Horton Group to receive additional information to present to the Board at the June 11, 2025 meeting. Chair Bristol moved to approve renewal of the commercial package for $13,576, the public officials bond for $100, and worker’s compensation insurance for $4,035 (the check has been printed and included in the vouchers to be considered below); 2 nd by Supervisor Woznick. Motion carried 5-0. 2l. Road work for Palace Road: Chair Bristol reported that the recent pavement milling in Rambling Acres revealed deficient sub road conditions along the inside curve of Palace Road. The remaining roads have already had a 2.5” asphaltic overlay. The Board had previously approved a contingency of $10,000 at the May 14, 2025 meeting. The estimated cost for Wolf Paving to excavate clay, fill the proposed trench 12’ wide, 18” deep, and 245’ long with breaker run, gravel and fines, and to compact is $13,280. It was noted that approximately ten years prior, a diverter was constructed to address stormwater issues created by a culvert that was installed nearby without Town authorization. There followed a brief discussion regarding reducing the scope of the proposed change work order to address the conditions to not exceed the previously approved contingency amount of $10,000. It was noted that the inside curve of the section of paving in question had not failed. Without objection, Wolf Paving should be instructed to slightly reduce the scope of the change order work to keep the cost within the $10,000 contingency already approved. Further, they should indicate that all other work is warrantied for a year. If the width of the area trenched is to be narrowed, the remediation should be towards the centerline rather than the shoulder. 2m. Board of Review training: Chair Bristol has completed the training prior to the Board of Review next Wednesday. Supervisor Woznick will take the training prior to the 2026 Board of Review; without objection. 3a.
