Blooming Grove Town Board Meeting Minutes for March 26, 2025 Chair Bristol called the meeting to order at 5:30 PM. Other Town Board members in attendance were Supervisor Woznick, Supervisor Teuscher, Supervisor Young, and Supervisor Schroeder. Also in attendance were Clerk/Treasurer/Administrator Wright and Deborah Sellers. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by those present. Request from the Wisconsin Towns Association to prepay first six months of membership to the Town Advocacy Council to align with the annual membership dues for the Wisconsin Towns Association: Chair Bristol introduced the request. In the past, the TAC dues ran for a calendar year whereas the WTA dues run from mid-year of one year to mid-year the next year. To align both sets of dues, the WTA is requesting that both dues be paid at the same time. As the Town winds down prior to annexation into the City of Madison, Bristol wondered whether renewal with TAC is still a wise investment. There followed a brief discussion of the merits to retain each. Chair Bristol moved to approve the continuation of membership in the Towns Advocacy Council and Wisconsin Towns Association; 2nd by Supervisor Teuscher. Motion carried 5-0. Without objection, renewal of both memberships will be reviewed next year. 2b. Grant availability from American Rescue Plan Act Well Compensation and Well Abandonment Grants: It was noted that some neighborhoods are on public water and sanitation and thereby will not qualify for this opportunity. However, residents and businesses elsewhere in the Town of Blooming Grove may benefit if they have a failing well, a well in need of abandonment, or assistance connecting to public services. Income cannot exceed $100,000 annually to qualify for the program. Without objection, the municipal clerk was instructed to post the promotional flyer to the Town website and post physically at the Town Hall. 2c. Run report from Madison Fire Department for 2024: Supervisor Teuscher stated he has not received any complaints regarding the quality of services provided by fire and rescue proved by the MFD.
