TOWN OF LEOLA Dave Roberts, Chairman 715-213-9677 Greg Sager, Supervisor 715-323-3254; Bruce Duellman 414-640-6899 Town website at www.townofleolawi.com TOWN BOARD MEETING Town Hall, 170 Apache Lane MONDAY AUGUST 3, 2026 At 6:00pm Minutes Call to order: Dave Roberts, Chairman- present Greg Sager, Supervisor-present Bruce Duellman, Supervisor-present Skeeter Fahser, Clerk-present Jackie Horacek, Treasurer-absent Pledge of Allegiance Approve minutes of July 15th,2026 Bruce Duellman makes a motion to approve the minutes. Greg Sager seconds the minutes. Motion passes Citizen input- Peggy Heuer-wanted to discuss multiple things Why we don’t have more detailed on new business specially that this is a special meeting. It’s so vague. Why can’t they get more of on input on that? Chairman Dave Roberts responded with that he left it open so we could talk about all roads in general verses only being able to talk about specific roads. Peggy responded with that she feels that its worth the extra typing to inform everyone so they may be interested in coming to the meeting. Where did we get the information on the culvert size for 6th ave. She had brought up numerous times that that the size was wrong. Chairman Roberts responded with he went to the historical society and looked at the drainage maps and that’s what he went off of. Supervisor Bruce Duellman was wondering if it could have been an old map and that it possible had changed and not recorded? Chairman Roberts stated that army core stated that it was amended to be a 6 foot but he was not aware of it until the culvert was already in place. Bruce Duellman wanted to know how it could change. Chairman Roberts also stated that the prior Chairman could have changed it and never recorded it. Everyone is not impressed with the work that’s been done on the 6th ave project. She wants a running a total on this project because that the price of this project is getting out of control. Synder and Associates is keeping track of all of the expenses. She also wanted to make sure we note they we would like them to be held responsible for the ditch #2 culvert. And the culverts that were put in wrong but Lempke will fixing the culvert that was put in wrong at no charge to the town. New Business: Discussion with possible action- Road work Chairman Roberts want to discuss the bids we received on the culvert that needs to be installed on 6th ave Arip project. We received a bid from Hoffman and Lempke. Hoffman’s bid is $5872.00 and Lempke $9730.00 with Rip Rap. The only delay with Hoffmans is that they wouldn’t be able to get to it for a few weeks and that would put us behind. Lempke Trucking stated that they would be putting the culvert in themselves and not contract it out. Chairman Roberts asked for a motion. Greg Sager made a motion to accept Lempke’s bid for culvert installation Chairman second. Motion approved the bid for Lempke Trucking. Brushing will need to be done by the board because the road maintenance is on a tight budget Motion to adjourn: at 7:01 Motion from Bruce Duellman to adjourn Greg Sager seconded.
