Budget Hearing Minutes Town of Weyauwega American Legion – 303 N Mill St, Weyauwega WI 54983 Nov 11, 2024 1. Budget for 2025 Hearing called to order a. Chairmen/Dave Stelzer called to order the Budget Hearing of Town of Weyauwega at 6:06pm on Nov 11, 2024, at Town Hall/American Legion. 2. Roll call a. Clerk/Sonia Thede-Kramer conducted a roll call. The following persons were present: Chairman/Dave Stelzner, Supervisor/Terry Wilz, Supervisor/John Neuman, Treasurer/Jodi Wilz and Clerk/Sonia Thede- Kramer. b. Public – Jor Jeanna Biddison, Jim Biddison, Chris Behm, Giselle Martinez and Gabriel Rojas. 3. Discussion/Review Budget a. Clerk/Sonia Thede-Kramer opened the discussion and review of the budget she presented. The board went through the budget line by line for 2025. Public/Jim Biddison asked about the amount for the assessor. Chairman/Dave Stelzner explained that we contracted with Larry Preuss to reassess/revalue all parcels as in a couple years we will need to and would like Larry Preuss to do it as he knows our township. Public/Jim Biddison asked about why the increase in fire protection. Supervisor/Terry Wilz explained why there was an increase as the fire district increased their budget as the emergency fund was used up. Clerk/Sonia Thede-Kramer went over the garbage/recycling amount to charge each household. Currently, the charge per household is $192, there is an anticipation of an increase, so board discussed the options of increasing to $198 or $200. The board recommends increasing the garbage/recycling charge to $198/household. Clerk/Sonia Thede-Kramer explained the ARPA funds we have left, and we have to set what to use it for that was completed in 2024. She made suggestions of using for website and road construction that was completed on Galilee Rd. She also advised the interest that was earned from the account can be moved to any other account. 4. Chairmen/Dave Stelzer called to order the Budget Approval of Town of Weyauwega at 6:28pm on Nov 11, 2024, at Town Hall/American Legion. 2. Roll call a. Clerk/Sonia Thede-Kramer conducted a roll call. The following persons were present: Chairman/Dave Stelzner, Supervisor/Terry Wilz, Supervisor/John Neuman, Treasurer/Jodi Wilz and Clerk/Sonia Thede- Kramer. b. Public – Jor Jeanna Biddison, Jim Biddison, Chris Behm, Giselle Martinez and Gabriel Rojas. 3. Motion to Approve the Budget for 2024 a. Motion to Approve the Budget 2025 as printed with the garbage/recycling charge increased to $198 per household by Supervisor/Terry Wilz, seconded by Supervisor/John Neuman, all ayes, motion carried. b. Motion to approve the use of the ARPA funds for our website $1,908 and construction on Galilee Rd $9,707.49 that was completed and paid for in 2024 by Supervisor/John Neuman, seconded by Supervisor/Terry Wilz, all ayes, motion carried. 4.
