TOWN OF ROYALTON ANNUAL MEETING MINUTES Tuesday, April 16, 2024 7:00 p.m. Royalton Town Hall located at E6132 State Hwy 54 New London This meeting Agenda has been posted at the Town Hall; E5406 N. Shore Rd; N4715 St Hwy 22/110 posting places. 1. CALL MEETING TO ORDER: The meeting is called to order at 7:00pm 2. OPENING STATEMENT BY CHAIRMAN: This meeting and all other meetings of the Town Board are open to the public. Proper notice has been posted and given to the press in accordance with WI Statutes so that the townspeople may be aware of the time, place, and agenda of this meeting. 3. ROLL CALL: of all people present-Marion Boushey, Karen Stedman, Patricia Craig, Dave Stedman, Julie Motiff, Marlyn Ebert, Steve Motiff, Judy Doud 4.. ANNUAL MEETING MINUTES FROM 2023 Read and motion to approve. A motion to approve minutes from 2023 by Patricia Craig, Second by Steve Motiff to approve minutes. Motion carried. 5. BUSINESS: a. 2023 Financial Report: Financial statement reviewed. Questions on dog license amount to be paid to treasurer. A cost of $ .50 per tag issued needs to be reimbursed to the treasurer. Clerk will get clarification, and reimburse treasurer. A motion by Julie Motiff, second by Marlyn Ebert to approve financial report. Motion carried. b. Town Officials Salary: Supervisor I and II: All board member salaries reviewed. Chairman: A motion by Patricia Craig, second by Steve Motiff to approve increase in annual salary-from $7500.00 to $8500.00. Clerk: With amount of reporting required to be completed, as well as other duties as assigned, a motion to approve increase in annual wages of clerk-from $16000.00 to $17500.00 by Julie Motiff, second by Patricia Craig. Motion carried. Treasurer current annual salary of $7000.00. A motion by Patricia Craig to increase annual salary to $7500.00, second by Marion Boushey. Motion carried. Supervisor I and II annual salary reviewed. Annual salary is $2400.00. A motion by Patrica Craig to increase annual salary to $3000.00, second by Julie Motiff. Motion carried. A motion by Patricia Craig to increase hourly town wages of labor performed by town board to $20.00/hour effective immediately, second by Karen Stedman. Motion carried. 6. INPUT: from Townspeople-Karen Stedman inquired trash left in ditches. Nathan Togstad relates she can contact any town board member to report. 7. SET DATE & TIME for 2025 Annual Meeting Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at the Town Hall 6:00 pm 8. Motion for adjournment at 8:00pm by Patricia Craig, seconded by Julie Motiff. Motion carried. The Town Board requests persons requiring assistance to enable attendance and participation to provide 24-hour notice. Persons wishing to be on the agenda should notify the clerk/chairman ten days before the meeting.
