TOWN OF ROYALTON TOWN BOARD MEETING Thursday, August 11, 2022 At the Town Hall Immediately following the Called Public Hearing at 6:00 p.m. E6132 State Hwy 54 New London AGENDA This meeting Agenda has been posted at the Town Hall; E5406 N. Shore Rd; N4715 St Hwy 22/110 posting places. 1. CALL MEETING TO ORDER: Meeting was called to order at 6:10 p.m. following the Public Hearing. 2. OPENING STATEMENT BY CHAIRMAN: This meeting and all other meetings of the Town Board are open to the public. Proper notice has been posted and g iven to the press in accordance with WI Statutes so that the townspeople may be aware of the time, place, and agenda of this meeting. 3. ROLL CALL: Gerald Roen, Marlyn Ebert, Mike Wieters, Lori Rodencal, & Sheri Wieters. Visitors: Gary Rhone, Robert Viste 4. VISITOR INPUT: 5. CLERK ’S REPORT: Motion by Ebert, second by M Wieters to approve minutes. Motion carried. 6. TREASURERS REPORT: Trial balance of accounts. Motion by M Wieters, second by Ebert to approve the treasurer and clerk reconciled to the bank statement and the treasurer’s report. Motion carried. 7. BUSINESS: a. Adopt Ordinance 2022-1 Amendment to the Comprehensive Plan for t he Town of Royalton – Motion by M Wieters, second by Ebert to Adopt Ordinance 2022-1. Motion carried. b. Building Inspector contract – The contract was reviewed, prices will remain the same. Motion by M Wieters, second by Ebert to renew contract with Bob Viste as Building Inspector for 1 year. Motion carried. c. Info on commercial inspection – information was shared with the Board in regards to Commercial Inspection with the State. This will be reviewed as discussed at next month’s meeting. d. Host WTA meeting – Treasurer Wieters shared meal menus with pricing for the meal that the Town of Royalton will be providing for the WTA meeting on August 18th. Menu was selected. e. Operator License – Application received from Melanie Wichman for an Operator License. Motion by Ebert, second by M Wieters to approve Operator License. License was signed. Motion carried. f. Road Reports – Landing Road – a call placed to request spraying for help with the dust, Butternut Ridge Rd repaired, Zastrow Rd is done, shoulder road work was done. g. Fire and Ambulance reports - Weyauwega Fire Dept is working on budget, drones have been used in 3 instances with success, building plans are being looked at. Manawa Fire Dept reported runs made, equipment purchased. Ambulance runs were reported. Budget may run over because of expenses. h. Meetings attended – Weyauwega and Manawa Fire, WTA informational held in Dale, Zoning i. Correspondence – Zoning violations letters, WTA agenda, Zoning granted Conditional use permit for Dunbar and Boerst, Waupaca School Board request, Fire number request, Highway Dept adopted ordinance for Speed Restriction on County Hwy B, Highway Dept on call list, Sheriff’s report j. Open Book – Aug 16, Board of Review – Aug 23 8. LAND USE PERMITS: Land use – Randall & Kimberly Hofstetter for accessory structure, Mandy & Christopher Tauscheck for Minor home occupation, 2 accessory structures, James & Linda Dunbar – single family dwelling less than 22’ with covered porch 9. AUDIT OF BILLS: Motion by M Wieters, second by Ebert to approve paying the bills. Motion carried. 10. SET AGENDA FOR NEXT MEETING: Road reports; Fire and Ambulance reports, Commercial Inspector 11. SET DATE & TIME for next TOWN BOARD MEETING Town Board Meeting: Thursday, September 8, 2022 at the Town Hall at 6:00 pm. 12. SIGN TOWN & CEMETERY CHECKS 13. MOTION TO ADJOURN – Motion by M Wieters, second by Ebert to adjourn at 8:05 p.m. The Town Board requests persons requiring assistance to enable attendance and participation to provide 24 hour notice.
