Monthly Town Board Meeting -August 12, 2025 Mukwa Town Hall, E8514 Weyauwega Rd., Northpo,t 3 in Attendance Chairman Simonis called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Notification of this meeting was given to the Press on July 31, 2025 and the final agenda was posted in the three designated places on August 8, 2025. Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Roll call of Officers: Cody Simonis, Chairman - Present; Lee Shaw, Supervisor I - Present; Matt Manske, Supervisor 2 - Present; Sandy Jensen, Treasurer - Present; Jeannette Zielinski, Clerk - Present. 495 All Meetings/Hearings wi II adhere to Robert's Rules of Order Pursuant to Town of Mukwa Ordinance I 0-05. Approve: July 8, 2025 Monthly Town Board Meeting Minutes: Motion was made by Supervisor Shaw with a second by Supervisor Manske to approve the July 8, 2025 Monthly Town Board Meeting Minutes as printed. Motion carried. Treasurer: Approve Monthly Treasurer's Report: Read by Treasurer Jensen. Motion was made by Supervisor Shaw and seconded by Supervisor Manske to accept the July 31, 2025 Treasurer's Report as presented & printed. Motion carried. BudgetNouchers: (a) Move Funds to Miscellaneous Town Expenses ($2,313): Motion to approve moving the required $2,313 from the Contingency Fund to the Miscellaneous Town Expenses Account was made by Supervisor Shaw with a second to the motion made by Supervisor Manske & the motion carried. (b) Approval & Payment of Vouchers: Motion was made by Chairman Simonis to approve payment of Vouchers 30051 through 30077, dated July 9, 2025 through August 12, 2025 & Direct Withdrawals of Social Security, Medicare & Federal Tax of $1,004.03 & the July 25th We Energies Invoice of$309.07; for a total of$173,543.57. Second to Chairman Simonis' motion was made by Supervisor Manske. Motion carried. Public Forum - Town of Mukwa Residents: Arnie Heise - Faskell Road - noted that the brush at the Ostrander bridge needed to be taken care of, it keeps coming back. Reminded that the approach to the stone bridge needs to be wedged. Building Inspector: Read by Supervisor Shaw. Motion to approve the August Building Inspector report as presented & printed was made by Supervisor Shaw with a second to the motion made by Supervisor Manske. Motion carried. Northport-Ostrander Cemetery: Nothing new at this time. Rick will keep mowed. Slow-no-Wake: No residents were present. Waupaca County Emergency Management-Emergency Response Plan: Need additional information to complete. Will be added to a future agenda. Town Engineer - RFO/RFP - Set Special Meeting for Interview/Questions: August 28th at 6:00 p.m. Roads: (a) Monthly Report: Ditch mowing has been completed - need to spray the thick brush (b) Road Equipment-Report/Repairs/ Purchases Needed: (1) Mower Repairs: The Snowmobile Club completed ditch mowing noted that new blades would need to be installed before it was used again. (2) Safety/Signage/PPE: Need to take stock of what we have on hand. Will order what is needed. (c) Grader/Tractor - Follow-up: Equipment being prepared for sale. Need pictures and write-ups. (d) Tree/Brush Trimming - Follow-up: Nothing new as of meeting date. (e) 2025 Road Construction Projects - Follow-up: 2025 projects completed, noting price difference from original estimate due to the change order to match the driveways in Elk Hills Estates. (f) Waupaca County Highway Department - Three Year Service Agreement - Review/ Approval: Agreement was reviewed, and a motion was made by Supervisor Shaw to accept the Waupaca County Highway Department Three Year (2026-2028) Service Agreement with a second to the motion made by Supervisor Shaw & the motion carried. Halloween -Trunk-or-Treat: A Broadway Street resident has requested use of the Town Hall parking lot to do a Halloween Trunk-or-Treat event, would like to have events with more community involvement. Will check with the Town's insurance company. REMINDER: October 14th Monthly Board Meeting - Date Changed to October 7th Meetings/Training/Waupaca County Zoning Hearings: Attended: (I) Supervisor Shaw attended the July 24th @ 9:30 a.m. - Waupaca Cty Board of Adjustment- Public Hearing - McDonald - Fox Valley Technical College, Waupaca Regional Center, 1979 Godfrey Dr, Waupaca (2) Supervisor Shaw attended the August 7th @ 9:00 a.m. - Waupaca Cty Planning & Zoning - Public Hearing - Seater/Guth's Resort- Fox Valley Technical College, Waupaca Regional Center, I 979 Godfrey Dr, Waupaca Upcoming: (I) August 21st @ 5:30 p.m. - Wisconsin Towns Association Waupaca County Unit Meeting - Waupaca County Highway Depa,tment, 2670 County Road A, Waupaca (2) Wisconsin Towns Association Fall Workshops - September & Annual Convention - October Corres_p_ondence Received: Motion to adjourn was made by Supervisor Manske.
