Monthly Town Board Meeting - February 11, 2025 Mukwa Town Hall, E8514 Weyauwega Road, No1thport 8 in Attendance 483 Chairman Cums called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Notification of this meeting was given to the Press on January 3 I, 2025 and the final agenda was posted in the three designated places on February 8, 2025. Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Roll call of Officers: Jim Cums, Chairman - Present; Lee Shaw, Supervisor I -Present; Matt Manske, Supervisor 2 -Present; Sandy Jensen, Treasurer - Present; Jeannette Zielinski, Clerk - Present. All Meetings/Hearings will adhere to Robert's Rules of Order Pursuant to Town of Mukwa Ordinance I 0-05. Minutes Approval: Janua1y 14, 2025 Monthly Town Board Meeting Minutes: Motion was made by Supervisor Shaw with a second by Supervisor Manske to approve the January 14, 2025 Monthly Town Board Meeting Minutes as printed. Motion carried. Treasurer: Approve Monthly Treasurer's Report: Read by Treasurer Jensen & questions answered. Motion was made by Supervisor Shaw and seconded by Supervisor Manske to accept the January 31, 2025 Treasurer's Report as presented & printed. Motion carried. BudgetNouchers: Approval & Payment of Vouchers: Motion was made by Chairman Cums to approve payment of Vouchers 29847 through 29885, dated January 15, 2025 through February 11, 2025, & Direct Withdrawal of Social Security, Medicare & Federal Tax of $1,190.20 & the Janua1y 24111 We Energies Invoice of $837.14; for a total of $60,689.10. Second to Chairman Curn 's motion was made by Supervisor Manske and the motion carried. Public Forum - Town of Mukwa Residents: New London School Board Candidate Andy Thorpe introduced himself & answered questions. Todd Moore - CTI-I W asked about a fire number sign as the County issued him a new address. Clerk Zielinski will order the sign & have it installed when weather permits. Building Inspector: Read by Supervisor Shaw who made a motion to accept the monthly Building Inspector's Report as presented & printed, with a second to the motion made by Supervisor Manske. Motion carried. Plan Commission - Member Retirement- New Member Needed: Plan Commission Chair Lee Shaw advised that Phil Wilson has decided to retire so there will be an opening. Notice will be p_ublished in the Press Star & posted. City of New London - Brush Disposal Site Contract: Supervisor Shaw had a couple of questions to be clarified. Chairman Cums will check with the City & let the Board know. Supervisor Shaw made a motion to accept the Agreement with the City of New London allowing Town of Mukwa to utilize the brush disposal site, with clarifications at a rate of $700 per month. A second to Supervisor Shaw's motion was made by Supervisor Manske and the motion was carried. Annual Insurance Renewal - Optional Quotes for Review/Approval: Discussion on proposals & recommendations received from the Town's Insurance Carrier. Proposed to increase the Property replacement for the Town Hall & Garage along with an increase in Crime Coverage. After review a motion was made by Supervisor Shaw to accept the proposed increases for both - Prope1ty to increase the building limit for the Town Hall and Garage along with the proposed increase for the base crime limit. A second to the motion was made by Supervisor Manske and the motion was carried. Roads: (a) Monthly Report: (b) Road Equipment-Report/Repairs/ Purchases Needed: Wheel Loader Sensor (c) Waupaca County Highway- Crack Filling- Follow up: Supervisor Shaw reviewed road review list and did a drive to verify a list to submit to the County Highway Depaitment for crack filling. (d) Tree Trimming - Follow up: $15,000 was approved for Mid-State Tree - verify that Rob was contacted (e) 2025 Road Construction Projects - Discussion: Possible projects discussed -joint project with New London on Klatt Road, Manske Road - Western portion and portion of Cut-Off. Will be added to March Agenda.
