2025 – January 3rd Special Board Meeting Minutes

Special Town Board Meeting - January 3, 2025 481 Mukwa Town Hall, E85 I 4 Weyauwega Rd., Northport 3 in attendance Chairman Curns called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Notification of this meeting was posted in the three designated places on January I, 2025. Roll call of Officers: Jim Cums, Chairman - Present; Lee Shaw, Supervisor I - Present; Matt Manske, Supervisor 2 - Excused; Sandra Jensen, Treasurer - Excused; Jeannette Zielinski, Clerk - Present. All Meetings/Hearings will adhere to Robert's Rules of Order Pursuant to Town of Mukwa Ordinance I 0-05. End-of-2024 Vouchers: (a) Move Funds to: (1) Recycling Expenditures: Motion to approve moving $2,789.93 from the Contingency Fund into Recycling Expenditures was made by Supervisor Shaw with a second to the motion made by Chairman Cums. Motion carried. (1) General Accounts: Motion to approve moving $836.97 from the Contingency Fund into General Accounts was made by Supervisor Shaw with a second to the motion made by Chairman Cums. Motion carried. (b) Approval & Payment of Vouchers: Motion was made by Chairman Curns with a second to the motion made by Supervisor Shaw to approve payment of Vouchers 29781 through 29822, with Exception of Void Check #29789, dated December 11, 2024 through December 31, 2024, and Direct Withdrawals of Social Security, Medicare, & Federal Tax of $1,180.62; the December 26111 We Energies Invoice of $458.39; Wisconsin Quarterly Withholding of $322.15; Bi-Annual WIDOR Business Tax Registration of$10.00 & ARPA-1016 to Waupaca County Highway for $384.02; for a total of$21,756.91. Motion carried. (c) Motions to Designate Remainder Balances in Non-Designated Accounts from 2024 into the 2025 Budget: Motion to move the remainder balance of $1,000 in the 2024 Animal Control Account into the 2025 Road Construction/Maintenance Account was made by Supervisor Shaw & seconded by Chairman Curns. Motion carried Motion to move the remainder balance of $6,141.64 in the 2024 Road Construction/Maintenance Account into the 2025 Road Construction/Maintenance Account was made by Supervisor Shaw & seconded by Chairman Cums. Motion carried. Motion to move the remainder balance of $1 I .80 in the 2024 Street Lights Account into the 2025 Road Construction/Maintenance Account was made by Supervisor Shaw & seconded by Chairman Curns. Motion carried. Motion to move the remainder balance of $75.00 in the 2024 Board of Review Account into the 2025 Road Construction/Maintenance Account was made by Supervisor Shaw & seconded by Chairman Cums. Motion carried. Motion to move the remainder balance of $1,163.95 in the 2024 Building Inspector Account into the 2025 Building Inspector Account was made by Supervisor Shaw & seconded by Chairman Curns. Motion carried. Motion to move the remainder balance of$3,663.53 in the 2024 Elections Account into the 2025 Recycling Expenditures Account was made by Supervisor Shaw & seconded by Chairman Cums. Motion carried. Motion to move the remaining $1,229.99 balance in the 2024 Local Orders Account into the 2025 Road Construction/Maintenance Account was made by Supervisor Shaw & seconded by Chairman Curns. Motion carried Motion to move the remainder balance of $992.3 1 in the 2024 SS/Med - Town Share Account into the 2025 Road Construction/Maintenance Account was made by Supervisor Shaw & seconded by Chairman Cums. Motion carried. Motion to move the remainder balance of $1,951.74 in the 2024 Town Hall/Garages Heat Account into the 2025 Road Construction/Maintenance Account was made by Supervisor Shaw & seconded by Chairman Cums. Motion carried. Motion to move the remainder balance of $880.97 in the 2024 Town Hall/Garages Electric Account into the 2025 Road Construction/Maintenance Account was made by Supervisor Shaw & seconded by Chairman Curns. Motion carried. Motion to move the remainder balance of $50.00 in the 2024 Weed Commissioner Account into the 2025 Road Construction/Maintenance Account was made by Supervisor Shaw & seconded by Chairman Curns. Motion carried. Remainder balance (after payment of 2024 Vouchers) in the 2024 Contingency Fund is $8,373.10. Motion to move $5,000 of the 2024 Contingency Fund balance into the 2025 General Accounts Fund was made by Supervisor Shaw & seconded by Chairman Curns. Motion Carried Motion to move the remainder balance of $3,373. IO in the 2024 Contingency Fund into the 2025 Road Construction/Maintenance Account was made by Supervisor Shaw & seconded by Chairman Curns. Motion carried. Motion to move the remainder balance of$575.44 in the 2024 Miscellaneous Town Expenses Account into the 2025 Road Construction/Maintenance Account was made by Supervisor Shaw & seconded by Chairman Cums. Motion carried. Waupaca County Highway Department - Crack Filling: Chairman Curns advised that the County Highway Department does have a winter crack filling program since they do not rout the cracks.
