CAWS: Met twice since last meeting. There was a mistake on a recently completed
Workman’s Comprehensive form that resulted in a $100.00 penalty. Repairs were recently
completed on the forklift. Scrap was sold for $1,400.00. A load of tires went out that cost
$1,700.00. CAWS was closed the day of the ice storm. Still looking for a new financial
secretary. One person showed interest, but they are the spouse of an existing committee
member, and that committee member would have to resign.
Fire Department: No meeting in April. There were 30 calls in March. No incident breakdown
was included in the reports this month. In 2026 one truck will be refurbished, and in 2027
one truck will be new.
Ambulance: Committee is hiring an employment agency to help with recruitment. New
ambulance is arriving April 14th. In 2027 another new ambulance will be ordered, to be paid
in 2028. There were 112 calls in February which is down 11 year over year. $100.00 was
