Town of Lind Public Hearing Minutes February 28, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. Waupaca High School PAC, E2325 King Road, Waupaca, WI 1. Meeting called to order at 5:00 p.m. by Chairman Nickel. 2. Pledge of Allegiance done. 3. Open Meeting Statement read by Chair Nickel. 4. Roll Call: Motion to convene the Public Hearing by C. Hardy; seconded by Nickel; roll call and vote on motion conducted by Clerk Neumann: Chairman Nickel – votes aye Supervisor I Nelson- recuses herself from her Supervisor I role for the Public Hearing proceedings Supervisor II Hardy – votes aye Motion carried. Nickel also introduced others at front table: Clerk Neumann; Treasurer Barrows; Town Lawyer R. Carlson; and Court Reporter J. Mcleod. It was asked that all Public Attendees sign in log books at each entrance into the PAC; attendees via Zoom were admitted via Clerk Neumann. 5. Approve or Amend Agenda: Motion by Hardy to approve as is; seconded by Nickel; motion carried by unanimous voice vote. An overview of the proceedings and order of business was given by Attorney R. Carlson. 6. Public Comments on Comprehensive Plan and Zone Map Amendment Applications for Brooks Farms Dairy, LLC for approximately 7.8 acres of parcel 12-09-43-1 were heard. Applicants, proponents, and opposition of proposed change spoke in person and via Zoom. Ten-minute breaks were taken every 1 ½ hours. 7. Adjournment: Motion to adjourn Public Hearing made by Nickel; seconded by Hardy; roll call vote conducted by Clerk Neumann: Chairman Nickel – votes aye Supervisor I Nelson – recused herself from proceedings Supervisor II Hardy – votes aye Motion carried.
