JOINT MEETING OF THE TOWN OF LIND PLANNNING COMMISSIION MEETING AND THE LIND TOWN BOARD MINUTES TUESDAY, MARCH 3rd, 2026 LIND TOWN HALL Chairman Richardson called the meeting to order at 6 p.m. Pledge of allegiance was recited. PRESENT: Art Richardson; Colleen McCoy; Dawn Hardy-Reith; Adam Pankow; Brigid Ferkett; Joseph Palello, Kristy Mechelke, Kathy Nickel, Cindy Hardy, Tim Stearns. A list of others attending is in the roll call book. APPROVE/AMEND AGENDA: McCoy amended the agenda to say joint meeting with the planning commission and Lind Town Board. It was moved by Hardy-Reith, seconded by Mechelke to approve the agenda with the correction. Motion carried with voice vote. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: It was moved by McCoy, seconded by Hardy-Reith to approve February 3rd, 2026, Planning Commission minutes as presented. Motion carried with voice vote. PUBLIC INPUT: Zoey Nelson commented on the Waupaca County Ordinance addressing digesters and how she feels the County has been able to have the townships keep control through the conditional use permits. DISCUSSION OF 2026 PROPOSED AMENDMENTS FROM WAUPACA COUNTY PLANNING AND ZONING ON THE SHORELAND AND ZONING ORDINANCES: Ryan Brown and Jason Synder were in attendance. Ryan Brown went through the changes on these ordinances and discussed followed. Pankow provided AI information which was reviewed and discussed. Chair Nickel will put together a proposal of all information gathered at tonight's meeting. She will then distribute these proposals to the Planning Commission and Town Board to review. There will be a joint Planning Commission and Lind Town Board meeting on April 8th, 2026 to discuss these proposals. Public Hearing date – March 26th, 2026, at 6 pm Lind Town Hall. Next Meeting: Wednesday, March 8th, 2026. Moved to Wednesday due to Spring Elections being held on April 7th.
