It was explained Waupaca County Dairy Alliance wants to bypass the townships for approval of the Conditional Use Permit (CUP) and only have approval of Waupaca County Zoning. There are 19 townships in Waupaca County, and to block this amendment there would have to be a majority of the townships reject this. It was stated not to give up control of the CUP at the township level. Ron Brooks stated the digester is an accessory of the farm. Art Richardson stated it was an accessory of the farm which would have consequences outside of the farm and into the community. Concerns of not being able to regulate what is being hauled into the digester from outside sources. 2024 NOV. – DAIRY ALLIANCE ZONING AMENDMENT (DISCUSS/RECOMMENDATIONS) It was moved by Richardson, seconded by Gall to reject the 2024 Nov. – Dairy Alliance Zoning Amendment.
