Meeting Minutes

TOWN OF LIND PLANNNING COMMISSIION MEETING MINUTES TUESDAY, JULY 2nd, 2024 LIND TOWN HALL Chairman Richardson called the meeting to order at 6 p.m. PRESENT: Art Richardson; Colleen McCoy; Steve Gall; Randy Yorkson; Brigid Ferkett; Ruth Wilde. Absent: Randy Mitchell. A list of others attending are in the roll call book. APPROVE/AMEND AGENDA: It was moved by Yorkson, seconded by Gall to approve the agenda as printed. Motion carried with voice vote. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: It was moved by Gall, seconded by McCoy to approve June 4th, 2024 Planning Commission minutes as presented. Motion carried with voice vote. PUBLIC INPUT: None Farmland Preservation: Ryan Brown, Waupaca County Planning and Zoning held discussion of Farmland Preservation, the targeted landowners have land in Farmland Preservation of 5 acres and less . Letters were sent to all landowners holding 5 acres or less informing them of being opted out at this time without cost. Going forward landowners will have to pay to be opted out of Farmland Preservation. No landowner contacted the Town of Lind to be removed from the Farmland Preservation Plan. Discuss and/or approve Resolution for Farmland Preservation: The resolution was reviewed. It was moved by McCoy, seconded by Gall to approve the Resolution for Farmland Preservation as presented. Roll call vote was take: Yes: Richardson, Wilde, Yorkson, Ferkett, Gall, McCoy; No: None Absent: Mitchell Conditional Use Permit – Wayne & Christine Neumann property located on Shambeau Ct, parcel 12- 07-71-6: Wayne was present at tonight’s meeting. He stated he wants family to be closer. One resident was in opposition to the trailer being placed on the property due to it being a trailer and presentation of other trailers in the area not being kept up, not wanting something setting next to their property. Discussion was held. It was moved by McCoy, seconded by Yorkson to approve the Conditional Use Permit for Wayne & Christine Neumann with no additional conditions to be applied. Motion carried with voice vote. Conditional Use Permit – Christina Gain/Agent-Cynthia Thurston property located N1108 County Road A, parcel number 12-21-14-16: There was no one present at tonight’s meeting representing Christina Gain. Postpone until next meeting, Tuesday, August 6th, 2024. Colleen will send a letter or call. Next Meeting: Tuesday, August 6th, 2024.
