Town of Lind Joint Board & Planning Commission Meeting Minutes Lind Town Hall, N1315 County Road A, Waupaca, WI Monday, June 11, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. 1. Meeting called to order at 6:00 p.m. 2. Open Meeting Statement read. 3. Pledge of Allegiance was done. 4. Roll call: Kathy Nickel, Zoey Nelson, Cindy Hardy, Ken Barrows, Faye Neumann, Art Richardson, Colleen McCoy, Randy Yorkson, Steve Gall, Brigid Ferkett all present. Ruth Wilde and Randy Mitchell absent. Public attendance per sign in book. 5. Discussion held regarding 10-year review of Farmland Preservation Plan that is due. Brian Haase and Ryan Brown presented maps of Town of Lind. Ryan gave overview of the Farmland Preservation program and distributed informational flyer. Maps show some planned changes due to survey changes and parcel lines that were adjusted over past 10 years. Discussion regarding possible removal of existing parcels that are 5 or 10 acres or less in size. This would be done as a one time, no cost to landowner process. Currently have 33 landowners that are 5 acres or less; 116 landowners that are 10 acres or less. Benefits to removal of small parcels are with saving fees that can be associated with development of parcels in the future. Determined we would mail a letter and flyer to all landowners with parcels of 5 acres or less that are currently in Farmland Preservation within the Town of Lind requesting their attendance at Planning Commission meeting on July 2, 2024 @ 6:00 p.m. for input on making change to remove such parcels from Farmland Preservation. Letter was drafted immediately and approved by all present. 6. Meeting adjourned at 7:30 p.m.
