Recreation Agreement and Fees There has been a challenge identifying the City versus the Town of Delafield residents for the programs and they are working on a fix in getting the data. Sam Blonien said she will send a report to Schaefer with the number of City of Delafield residents that sign up for the programs versus Village of Hartland residents. C. Opportunities for Intermunicipal Cooperation Cory Bahr said they are doing some updates on their ball fields in Hartland which get used quite a bit. Blonien said the T-Ball and summer camp numbers have been increasing and she wants to expand their youth sports programs. The committee members said they would not have an issue with Hartland utilizing the city’s ball fields so they can expand their youth sports. Flemming said she would like to see games being played at Fireman’s Park and at the Sports Complex so the fields get utilized instead of just being maintained. Flemming said outside of the Park District, Kettle Moraine middle school just developed their sports area and Kettle Moraine High School just redid their fields. Delafield is a Lake Country community where natural beauty, small-town character, and active gathering spaces intersect. This project is intended to create a distinctive, destination-driven public artwork that strengthens community identity and encourages visitation. Artists are encouraged to propose work that is visually compelling, durable, and engaging at a civic scale. Project Goals Selected artwork(s) should: • Attract visitors and support tourism • Encourage exploration and walkability • Create a recognizable visual landmark or series • Reflect aspects of Delafield’s character, environment, or culture • Be suitable for long-term outdoor installation The City is open to: • A single iconic installation, or • A series of coordinated works across a defined area (trail, corridor, downtown, or gateway) Selection Process (Two-Phase RFQ/RFP) Phase 1: Qualifications + Concept Direction (RFQ) Deadline: July 1, 2026 Artists submit qualifications and a brief conceptual direction. This is a City Park resource so Park and Rec would need to approve it. Here are some of the details and ideas behind it;  Dates are July 16th - July 18th  The Police Department voiced support and showed the aƩached map at our meeƟng  We would have DPW and Staff monitor weather and not allow it if there was excessive rain or condiƟons that might damage the field  The Chamber would solicit a charity to volunteer to provide flaggers to direct traffic and charge a modest fee ($5 ?) to help their cause Please add to your upcoming PR agenda for consideraƟon and approval. I am available for quesƟons. Tim Tim Aicher Mayor City of Delafield
