Town of Taft Minutes to Monthly Meeting Jan.21, 2025 The Jan. meeting of the Town Board was called to order at 7:22pm.Allthe members were present. Verification of Postings:Town Hall,West Central Shopper on Jan. 6, 2024.Otter Lake Bait, Foxx Den Jan 20. There was a motion fromJerry Czubakowski,2ndbyDel Kroeplinto approve and pay all current bills. Approval was given by voice roll call: Delyes, Jerry yes, Darrell yes,Motion carried. The was a motion from Del Kroeplin,2 nd by Jerry Czubakowski to approve the minutes from the Dec. 2024 monthly meeting. Approval was given by voice roll call: Del yes, Jerry yes, Darrell yes, Motion carried. There was a motion by Jerry Czubakowski, 2 nd by Del Kroeplinto approve the Treasurer’s Report.Approval was given by voice roll call: Del yes, Jerry yes, Darrell yes, Motion carried. Driveway/CulvertPermit. Application and fees completed for Lexi Chaplinski There was a motion by Jerry Czubakowski, 2 nd by Del Kroeplin at approve a variance to the above culvert from 15 inches to 12 inches and to be within 200 feet of another culvert. Approval was given by voice roll call: Del yes , Jerry yes, Darrell yes, Motion carried. Employee Job Descriptions and Expectations were finalized. There was a motion by Del Kroeplin, 2 nd by Jerry Czubakowski to approve the final copies. Approval was given by voice roll call: Del yes , Jerry yes, Darrell yes, Motion carried. Attendance for the Spring District Meeting will be Jerry and Lori Czubakowski in EauClaire on March 15, Darrell Thompson will attend the virtual ones on Monday and Tuesday, March 17, & 18, Lana will attend the virtual on Tuesday, March 18. This will give 4 board members Board of Training. After much discussion there was a motion by Jerry Czubakowski, 2nd by Del Kroeplin to purchase the used 2009 International Plow Truck from the Taylor County Highway Dept. in the amount of their asking price of $30,000. Approval was given by voice roll call: Del yes, Jerry yes, Darrell yes, Motion carried. ARIP update has been received. The Town of Taft was awarded a 90/10 grant to blacktop Skyline Drive. Chairman Darrell Thompson was very instrumental in collecting and investigating all possible information and materials, making sure the selection committee who selects these grants would have as much information as possible. There was a motion by Jerry Czubakowski, 2 nd by Del Kroeplin to approve authorizing SEH Engineering Company to assist us in the SMA Survey the needs to be completed as part of the ARIP Grant process. There was a motion by Del Kroeplin, 2 nd by Jerry Czubakowski, to approve the treasurer to transfer from the Equipment Fund for the purchase of the snowplow in the event payment is needed before our Feb. meeting. Approval was given by voice roll call: Del yes, Jerry yes, Darrell yes, Motion carried.
