Town of Taft Minutes to Monthly Meeting Dec. 19, 2024 The Dec. meeting of the Town Board was called to order at 7:15pm. All members present. Verification of Postings: Town Hall, Otter Lake Bait, Foxx Den, on Dec. 18, 2024. There was a motion from Jerry Czubakowski, 2nd by Del Kroeplin to approve and pay all current bills. Approval was given by voice roll call: Del yes, Jerry yes, Darrell yes, Motion carried. There was a motion by Del Kroeplin, 2nd by Jerry Czubakowski to accept minutes as read. Approval was given by voice roll call: Del yes, Jerry yes, Darrell yes, Motion carried. There was a motion by Jerry Czubakowski, 2nd by Del Kroeplin to approve the Treasurer’s Report. Approval was given by voice roll call: Del yes, Jerry yes, Darrell yes, Motion carried. Driveway/Culvert Permit: Carolyn Penk There was a motion by Del Kroeplin, 2nd by Jerry Czubakowski to approve a variance for 2 culverts less than 200 ft a part. Approval was given by voice roll call: Del yes, Jerry yes, Darrell yes, Motion carried. Two culverts one to the east and one to the west as been completed. Employee Job Description and Expectation: There was a motion by Jerry Czubakowski, 2nd by Del Kroeplin to amend job descriptions as per discussed at monthly board meeting. Approval was given by voice roll call: Del yes, Jerry yes, Darrell yes, Motion carried. New Job Descriptions for Patrolman 1 and 2, Recycling/General Laborer will be updated, and posted in work areas after the next meeting. Employee Grievance Procedure: There was a motion by Del Kroeplin, 2nd by Jerry Czubakowski to approve changes made in the grievance procedure from 1 hearing officer to 3 hearing officers present for any hearing heard through the grievance process. Approval was given by voice roll call: Del yes, Jerry yes, Darrell yes, Motion carried. Employee Grievance Procedure: There was a motion from Jerry Czubakowski, 2nd by Del Kroeplin to approve an update list of Hearing Officers. Approval was given by voice roll call: Del yes, Jerry yes, Darrell yes, Motion carried. List was complied by several Board Members and the list will be attached to the Employee Grievance Procedure. Employee Grievance Procedure: There was a motion by Del Kroeplin, 2nd by Jerry Czubakowski to approve the increase from $50 to $100 for each officer per hearing meeting. Approval was given by voice roll call: Del yes, Jerry yes, Darrell yes, Motion carried. ARIP Grant material has gone through committees, and we should be hearing something soon. Date for Caucus was set for Jan. 21 @ 7pm; Regular Monthly Meeting will follow. There was a motion by Del Kroeplin, 2nd by Jerry Czubakowski to transfer yearend funds as follows: Highway Reconditioning Fund $55,840, Equipment Fund $10,000 for a total of $65,840.
