Plan Commission — Minutes

Town of Iola Iola, WisconsinChairman Bruce Faldet, Supervisor Mark Sprangers, Chairman Steve Madson, Clerk Josh Franchuk, Supervisor Denis Walter, Treasurer Plan Commission Meeting – January 28, 2019 Plan Commission Members present – Mark Forseth, Mark Doll, Loren Johnson, Bruce Faldet and Mark Sprangers. Others present – Steve Madson, Denis Walter and Casey Beyersdorf Meeting called to order at 6:00PM. Mark Forseth was appointed the Chairman of the committee. 1- David Doxrude Conditional Use Permit – Doxrude is proposing to place a recreational vehicle on his property in excess of 30 days. Mr Doxrude is proposing 2 different sites for the placement of the camper. (see attached) Discussion was had on where the Town wants to go with these requests in the future as we are getting more and more of them. Mark Forseth will contact Ryan Brown at the Waupaca County Planning and Zoning office to see if they have any guidance. After further discussion the committee agreed on Location #2. Mark Forseth made a motion to recommend approval of site #2 to the Town Board. Mark Doll seconded the motion and it carried. Regular Monthly Meeting Chairman Sprangers called the meeting to order at 6:16pm Board Members present were: Mark Sprangers, Bruce Faldet, Josh Franchuk, Denis Walter, and Steve Madson,. Also present – Mark Forseth, Mark Doll, Loren Johnson and Casey Beyersdorf. Supervisor Franchuk made a motion to approve the agenda for the meeting. Supervisor Faldet seconded the motion and it carried. Supervisor Faldet made a motion to approve the minutes from the previous meeting. Supervisor Franchuk seconded the motion and it carried. Public Comments: Casey Beyersdorf Commissioner of the Waupaca County Highway Department talked about the county plowing for the Town of Iola. He stated they would plow for the town in 2019/2020 it would be with a grader as they would not have a truck available. They are purchasing two new truck for 2020. He would like to wait until 2020/2021 to plow for the town then they would have the new trucks in service. Chairman Sprangers will check with Lashua Excavating to see if he will plow until then. The Town would not have a problem waiting. The county would want a service agreement signed. Other work such as culverts, pot holes, tree trimming and other road maintenance would count towards the $45,000 (roughly) the town would need to spend with the county. Old Business – 1. ATV/UTV – An ATV/UTV club is being formed in the county. 2. Animal Control Contract – tabled until the February meeting New Business – 1. Doxrude Conditional Use Permit – After a brief discussion Supervisor Faldet made a motion to approve the recommendation from the Plan Commission to grant the permit with the camper to be located on site #2. Supervisor Franchuk seconded the motion and it carried. 2. Road Signage – tabled until February Meeting Audit of the town books was done by Supervisor Faldet and Supervisor Franchuk. Supervisor Franchuk made a motion to pay the monthly bills. Supervisor Faldet seconded the motion and it carried. There being no further business the meeting adjourned at 6:38 pm
