Accepting Chairman Discianno’s Resignation Supervisor Newton called the meeting to order at 10:01 AM and the Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Supervisor Newton read Chairman Discianno’s letter of resignation aloud. Motion: To accept Chairman Discianno’s resignation, effective May 31, 2026. Moved: Newton • Seconded: Silvis • Vote: Carried 2-0 2. Appointing New Chairman to Fill Remaining Term Supervisor Newton expressed intent to serve as Chairman. The appointment was made pursuant to Wis. Stat. § 17.25(1)(a)1. Motion: To appoint Nicholas Newton as Town Board Chairman to fill the remainder of Chairman Discianno’s term, effective June 2, 2026. Moved: Silvis • Seconded: Huybrecht • Vote: Carried 3-0 3. Closed Session — Internal Employee Compensation (Wis. Stat. § 19.85(1)(c)) Motion: To convene in closed session pursuant to Wis. Stat. § 19.85(1)(c) for discussion of internal employee compensation. Moved: Newton • Seconded: Silvis • Vote: Carried 2-0 The Board convened in closed session. Upon returning to open session, Chairman Newton noted that a payroll matter had been discussed and that no action was taken; the Board will move forward with appropriate action. Future Agenda Items • Fill vacant Supervisor position at June 8, 2026 regular board meeting. Individuals interested may submit letters of intent to the Clerk by 12:00 PM on June 8, 2026.
