TOWN OF PRESQUE ISLE BOARD OF REVIEW October 8, 2026 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Town of Presque Isle Town Hall 8306 School Loop Rd Presque Isle, WI 54557 AGENDA: 1. Call to Order 2. Appointment of Chairperson and Vice Chairperson 3. Confirmation of Board of Review and Open Book meeting notices 4. Verify that at least one Board of Review member has met the annual mandatory training requirements. 5. Presentation by the Town Assessor of the Annual Assessment Report & Assessment Roll & BOR Review of the Assessment Roll and Statutory Duties a. Assessor shall verify that all corrections of error under state law (Wis. Stat. § 70.43) are corrected in the assessment roll. b. Assessor shall verify that Open Book changes are included in the assessment roll. c. Assessor shall verify that: i. Description or calculation errors have been corrected in the Assessment Roll ii. Omitted Property has been added to the Assessment Roll iii. Double Assessed Property has been eliminated from the Assessment Roll 6. Two-Hour Window for Property Assessment Objections. Presentations of objections shall be limited to ten minutes by the property owner and the assessor. The BOR may extend the time limit at the BOR chair’s discretion. Requests to Testify by Telephone or Submit a Sworn Written Statement at the Board of Review (WI DOR Form PA-814) will be reviewed prior to each objection; a decision whether or not to allow a Telephone or Submit a Sworn Written Statement at the Board of Re view is at the discretion of the Board of Review. a. Consider any additional objections not filed within the 48-hour period of notification of intent to Object to Real Property Assessment. Note: The Board of Review must determine whether or not to hear an objection not filed within the 48-hour period of notification. The Board of Review is under no obligation to hear an objection if the objection was not filed within the 48 -hour period of notification of intent to Object to Real Property Assessment. 7.
