February 18, 2026, and February 12, 2026, Supervisor Wolter seconded, carried and approved
by all.
Discuss and Possible Action:
Old Business:
1. Pipke Dam update: Al Drum presented an update on the Picket Park Dam reclamation
project, where engineers submitted calculations to DNR in January 2026, though there's still
no feedback. Sterling will issue new plans later this month, and the town is preparing permit
evidence for DNR, with plans to begin construction this year. Eric also reviewed that he lined
up 9 construction companies for future bids as soon as the plans are approved including
Howard Brothers and Munson Brothers who are local.
2. Operational Procedures on Electronic Sign: Chairman Eschenbauch report that our
new sign is up thanks to the Lions Club. After talking to the Ron Stoltz from the
Chamber, they would like to have a Special meeting at the sign location next Wednesday
March 11th.
3. NEMSD: Chairman Eschenbauch also addressed concerns about the Northwoods
Emergency Medical Service District, where one board member was pushing to replace
existing bylaws without following the proper amendment process. The board expressed
concerns about attending a meeting on March 18th called by this member and it could be
seen as undermining the current bylaws. They agreed to review copies of both the existing
and proposed bylaws before making a decision about attendance.
4. Property Sale: We have had a request to sell two town lots adjacent to the buyers
home. This needs to go to the next Town of Electors Meeting in April. Chairman
Eschenbauch did get a couple appraisals on the land.. Eschenbauch made a motion to
put on the agenda for the Electors meeting in April, Supervisor Wolter seconded, carried
and all approved.
New Business:
1. Switch Clerk position from Elected to Appointed to go to Electors Meeting:
Chairman Eschenbauch made a motion to place switching Clerk position from Elected to
Appointed on the agenda for the Electors Meeting in April, with the benefits and
drawbacks of this change. Supervisor Weber seconded. Carried and approved by all.
2. Hiring an assistant for elections: Chairman Eschenbauch made a motion to hire an
Elections assistant to help the new clerk with the prep of the elections. Supervisor Wolter
seconded, carried and passed by all. Eschenbauch also informed the town that there is
money in the budget that is for an assistant/ Deputy clerk.
3. Outreach to potential bidders / interested contractors for Pipke Park Dam: This
was disused earlier in Old business.
4. Acceptance of resignation for Park and Rec and Financial Committee member:
Chairman Eschenbauch made a motion to accept the resignation of Kim Prott from the
Park and Rec and Financial Committees, Supervisor Weber seconded, carried and approved
by all.

Board Correspondence: Supervisor Weber received a letter of interest for a Finance
Committee member. Supervisor Wolter reported on the Land Fill Venture group meeting he
attended in Eagle River. Two member towns are considering withdrawing from the group and
he thought that we should consider that action also. He reported that our wase is being hauled
to a different landfill by our hauler. He will continue to monitor and attend the next meetings.
County Board Member Correspondence: Richard Logan reported the Nutritional site starts
up April 1st at the NLES. All encouraged to attend. Representative Logan also reported that
the Septic Pumpers are pushing for the state to change the regulations of receiving a 3 yr card

keep us updated on this issue.
