SPECIAL MEETING OF THE TOWN OF WESTBORO The meeting was called to order by Chairman Ed Schlosser on Friday, May 17, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Present was supervisor John Pipkorn, Clerk Julie Scott, and Road & Maintenance Director Jeff Peterson. Absent was supervisor Rocky Jones and Treasurer Denise Johnson. Three sealed quotes were received for the VFW Hall steel roof. Niemi Construction, N289 Soumi Road, Westboro 36” wide pole barn steel - $6,950.00 16” hidden fastener snap lock - $10,600.00 Estimate includes dumpster Peterson Builders, N715 Park Drive, Ogema 36” wide pole barn steel - $10,237.00 16” hidden fastener snap lock - $13,984.00 Estimate does not include dumpster Decker Lumber & Supply Inc., 901 Allen Street, Athens Meridian 26 ga Standing Seam - $17,500.00 Max Rib Ultra 29 ga Exposed Fasteners - $14,400.00 Soffit & Fascia, garbage removal extra Pipkorn/Schlosser motioned to accept the quote from Niemi Construction, pole shed steel roof for $6,950.00 with completion date to be at the end of July 2013. Motion carried. VFW Post 7817 will make color selection for the roof but board is recommending a light color. Pipkorn/Schlosser motioned to approve the request by Westboro Baseball Club for issuance of a six month, Class B beer license (effective 5-24-13) at: N8865 Third Street, Westboro. Motion carried. Pipkorn/Schlosser motioned to approve the request from the Free Spirit MC for a temporary Class “B” license for an event to be held May 24, 2013 thru May 27, 2013. Motion carried. Pipkorn/Schlosser motioned to approve the request from the VFW Ladies Auxiliary for a temporary Class “B” license for an event to be held on May 27, 2013. Motion carried.
