SPECIAL WESTBORO TOWN BOARD  Chairman  Tim  Roiger  called  the  meeting  to  order  on  Friday,  May  18,  2012  at  7:00  p.m.      Present  was  supervisor  Steve  Peterson,  Clerk/WSD  Commissioner  Julie  Scott,  Road  &  Maintenance  Director  Jeff  Peterson,  WSD  Commissioner  Douglas  Thums,  Gene  Lucia,  Marlene  Rymer,  Violet  Thums,  and  Ed  Schlosser.    Absent  was  supervisor  Eldred  Gumz,  Treasurer  Denise  Johnson,  and  WSD  Commissioner  Jana  Czahor.    S.  Peterson/Roiger  motioned  to  pulverize  the  VFW  Hall  parking  lot  and  the  area  in  front  of  town  shop  and  firehall  at  a  cost  of  $3,623.    Motion  carried.    Blacktopping  this  area  will  occur  next  year;  current  estimate  is  $22,713.58.    Discussion  was  held  with  the  Sanitary  District  Commissioners  regarding  the  sanitary  district  owing  the  town  $24,000  which  was  paid  to  the  district  in  conjunction  with  their  sewer/water  upgrade  project  in  2009.    These  funds  were  paid  to  cover  the  costs  incurred  with  the  town’s  storm  sewer  project.    Due  to  problems  with  the  engineering  firm,  the  town  did  all  storm  sewer  work  on  its  own.    Scott/Roiger  motioned  to  approve  reimbursement  of  $24,000  from  the  sanitary  district  payable  to  the  town  with  the  sanitary  district  setting  up  a  payment  plan.    Scott,  Roiger,  S.  Peterson  voting  aye,  Thums  nay  with  Gumz  and  Czahor  absent.      After  brief  discussion,  Thums  verbally  agreed  to  vote  in  favor  of  the  motion.    Motion  carried.    Thums  left  the  meeting  at  7:20  p.m.    Roiger/S.  Peterson  motioned  to  install  a  drywall  ceiling  above  the  town  office  at  a  cost  of  $1,500.    Motion  carried.        S.  Peterson/Roiger  motioned  to  accept  quote  of  $992  from  Polzin  Construction  to  install  a  roof  over  the  community  center  sign.    Motion  carried.    Roiger/S.  Peterson  motioned  to  not  patch  the  blacktop  on  Fawn  Avenue  East  due  to  cost  of  $5,457.    Motion  carried.    Roiger/S.  Peterson  motioned  to  adopt  Ordinance  116  which  names  a  newly  constructed  road  (June’s  Lane).    Motion  carried.    Jeff  reported  that  the  sewer  lateral  was  dug  at  the  Jared  Peterson  property.      Another  bill  for  the  recycling  center  camera  installation  will  be  sent;  town  should  withhold  payment  until  satisfied.    Roiger/S.  Peterson  motioned  to  adjourn  the  meeting  at  7:35  p.m.    Motion  carried.      Julie  Scott,  Town  Clerk
