Town Board Minutes – December 27, 2011

WESTBORO TOWN BOARDThe meeting was called to order on December 27, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. by Chairman Tim Roiger.Present were supervisors Steve Peterson & Eldred Gumz, Clerk Julie Scott, Road & MaintenanceDirector Jeff Peterson. Also present were Randy Decker and Terry Stahnke of Decker Lumber& Supply Inc.The group went through the punch list items as drafted by Todd Clark of SEH. Several itemslisted by Clark were known not to be Decker Lumber items.Discussion was held on the final request for payment. Lori Bowe had directed the town to notpay any invoices until she had received all documentation. The penalty of $250 per day for nothaving the building completed on time was also discussed. Roiger mentioned several items thatthe town handled to save time to keep the project moving. Major hold ups were due to theheating contractor. Town opened the library/town office on September 6th, 2011.Pay requests 6 and 7 total $26,131.33. After discussion, it was decided to accept the offer madeby Randy Decker to allow a $2,000 credit be deducted from the total bill. Also agreed upon isthe withhold $2,500 from final payment until the sidewalks are repaired. The Town board agreedto leave the kitchen floor as is. Randy Decker approved to finish the following:• #1 Warranty dates begin September 1, 2011• #3 Warranty statement attached to pay request 7 regarding damage to trees.• #7 Corner bead of drywall where it meets the pass through window to kitchen at SW cornerof large meeting room needs to be finished off and leveled. The laminate edge tocountertop at this area also needs to be repaired.• #14 Finish nail holes on door/window trim still existing in clerk-treasurer office, library,and library exit door area.• #16 Touch up trim above elevator door.• #17 Install a spring on mail box slot to prevent hand cannot reach inside.• #20-21 Sidewalks need patching/repair in the spring of 2012.Roiger/S. Peterson motioned to pay $21,631.33 to Decker Lumber & Supply following thepreviously approved agreement. Motion carried.Gumz/Roiger motioned to adjourn the meeting at 10:40 a.m. Motion carried.
