Town Board Minutes – March 25, 2011

WESTBORO TOWN BOARDChair Tim Roiger called the meeting to order on Friday, March 25, 2011 at6:00 p.m. Present were supervisors Dick Hintz & Steve Peterson and ClerkJulie Scott. Also present was Randy Decker of Decker Lumber & Supply,Jeff Peterson, Gene Lucia, Rosemary Rindt, Harry Stroik, Sue Peterson, andMark Berglund of the Star News. Treasurer Denise Goodrich was absent.The board and Mr. Decker reviewed the contract for the town hallremodeling project. Mr. Decker stated that the total bid amount includingalternates was incorrect. He stated the amount should have been$376,550 not $376,600. The board and Mr. Decker made the correctionand initialed for verification. Mr. Decker stated that the cost for fill includesremoval of bad fill with new fill being brought in. Mr. Decker stated hefound no substantial problems with the plans. He thought the front stepsmay be a problem but nothing extraordinary. He stated he would bring inequipment on April 11th.S. Peterson/Hintz motioned to approve entering into a contract withDecker Lumber & Supply. Motion carried. Signatures were obtained.Two bids were submitted for asbestos removal.1) Environmental Plant Services, Inc. of Schofield - $1,300 plus $2.62 persq. ft. for any additional.2) Mavo Systems of Wausau - $1,119.00 plus $2.00 per sq. ft. for anyadditional.Hintz/S. Peterson motioned to award bid to Mavo Systems. Motion carried.Roiger/S. Peterson motioned to adjourn the meeting at 6:23 p.m. Motioncarried. Julie Scott, Town Clerk
