WESTBORO TOWN BOARDChairman Tim Roiger called the meeting to order on Saturday, November 13, 2010 at 8:34 a.m.Present were supervisors Dick Hintz & Steve Peterson, Clerk Julie Scott, Treasurer DeniseGoodrich, and Road & Maintenance Director Jeff Peterson. Also present were Tracy Shook, JerryClark, Bob Shook, Gene Lucia, Vi Thums, and Joyce Peterson.Hintz/S. Peterson motioned to approve the minutes of the October 8, 2010 meeting as printed.Motion carried. Roiger/S. Peterson motioned to approve the Treasurer’s Report, motion carried. S.Peterson/Hintz motioned to approve payment of bills #15725-15779 in the amount of $32,002.75.Motion carried.Peterson reported on the Fischer Creek Road project, dumpster replacement, the resignation ofRecycling Attendant Marion Breuer, employee Reg Rymer accepting position; more cost effectiveto contract out for manhole/storm sewer; filling of sand shed, Wisconsin Rural Water training. An“on demand” hot water was purchased for $169; an update given on measuring joists at thecommunity building; garbage dumped on Skinner Lane; three driveway permits issued. Petersonalso recommended that all residents within village limits getting mailed delivered should haveswinging mailboxes. This issue will be placed on the December agenda for discussion/action.Roiger/S. Peterson motioned to deny request by a resident to install “deer crossing” signs on FawnAvenue. Motion carried. Hintz/S. Peterson motioned to allow the R&M Director to attend HighwaySafety class in Tomahawk on November 18, 2010. Motion carried. S. Peterson/Roiger motioned toapprove purchase of Schaeffer oil and grease products. Motion carried. S. Peterson/ Roigermotioned to postpone action on the town paying for electric service to the gazebo until theDecember meeting. Motion carried. Roiger/S. Peterson motioned to approve the request by theWestboro Conservation Club for issuance of a Temporary Class B license for an event to be held onNov. 26-27, 2010 at the VFW Hall. Motion carried. Hintz motioned to pay a 2% retirementcontribution of 2010 gross wages for the R&M Director. Motion failed due to lack of a second.Discussion ensued. Hintz/Roiger motioned to pay 3% retirement contribution of 2010 gross wagesfor the R&M Director. Motion carried with Steve Peterson abstaining. S. Peterson/Hintz motionedto approve the 2011 budget as presented. Motion carried.Treasurer Goodrich reported that a resident will be served a citation for not purchasing dog licensesand dogs running-at-large. Jeff Peterson reported that paperwork will be filled out for storm damageon Fischer Creek Road. Xcel Energy will be doing utility work in our area next week; damage toroads should be reported immediately. Steve Peterson reported that the fire department van has abroken steering column; purchase of a newer van will be forthcoming.The next meeting was set for Saturday, December 11, 2010 at 8:00 a.m. Roiger/S.
