Town Board Meeting — Minutes

Town of Drammen Town Meeting Minutes June 9, 2025 The meeting was called to order by Chairman Jeff Larson at 7:07 p.m. with all board members present. Town residents, Greg Lampman, Jim Williams and Gloria Williams were also present. May Meeting Minutes Motion to approve the May Meeting Minutes made by Joe Becker and seconded by Mike Isaacson. Motion carried. Treasurers Report Motion to approve the May Treasurer’s Report made by Mike Isaacson seconded by Joe Becker. Motion carried. Monthly Bills Motion to approve the June bills made by Joe Becker and seconded by Mike Isaacson. Motion carried. Monthly Budget Review The monthly budget was reviewed with discussion about Town Hall Maintenance being over budget and how to resolve. The Clerk explained the change process including resolution required. A resolution will be made at the end of the budget year to correct all budget item shortfalls as it is tracked under the new Town Hall Software. Town Chairman Update Ag Land Use Resolution The proposed resolution was presented. Motion to approve was made by Mike Isaacson seconded by Joe Becker. Motion carried and Town of Drammen Resolution 25-02 was signed by all board members. ACTION ITEM: The Clerk will email a signed copy to the drafter of the resolution, Dessy Johnson, and post it on the town website. Culvert Repairs The Chairman reported that the removal/repair of the culvert on Sunny Nook Road was complete, town is awaiting the bill from the Eau Claire County Highway Dept. Road Repair Priorites Road repair priorities were discussed with the following candidates for repair this year; West Walnut Rd (.40 miles), Coon Creek (.64 miles), and Cedar Rd (1.03 miles). Three others were considered, Maple Ridge East and West and pine Rd, but were cost prohibitive. ACTION ITEM: The Clerk will investigate ballpark costs of repairs and report back to the Chairman for possible additional board meeting to decide actual roads to be repaired and motion to advertised sealed bids. Town Clerk Updates Insurance/Man Lift The Man Lift will be covered by the town insurance if detailed information on the equipment and time of use is provided prior to use. The board raised the question of insurance/liability for equipment owned by the Town Maintenance Technician that is used, such as the lawn mower and skid steer. ACTION ITEM: Clerk will call the insurance company to investigate and report. Town Credit Card Application has been completed and is being processed. A credit card policy was submitted for review. Motion to approve was made by Joe Becker and seconded by Mike Isaacson. Motion carried. Public Comment None. Motion to adjourn at 8:26 p.m. was made by Mike Isaacson and seconded by Joe Becker.
