Town Board — Minutes

Town of Drammen Meeting Minutes August 14, 2023 The meeting was called to order by Chairman Ed Risler with all board members except present. Town residents Jim Williams, Greg Lampman were in attendance. Also in attendance were County Supervisor Al Myren and Matt Michaels representing Planning and Development. Motion to approve the minutes as printed and distributed made by Joe Becker and seconded by Jeff Larson. Motion carried. Motion to approve the July 2023 Treasurer’s Report made by Jeff Larson and seconded by Joe Becker. Motion carried. Motion to approve the monthly bills made by Jeff Larson and seconded by Joe Becker. Motion carried. Matt Michels, Eau Claire County Planning and Development discussed the Resolution for approval of changes in the County Zoning Ordinance. Board members were given a copy of the resolution, and this will be on the agenda for September. Michels also said he would be willing to update Chapter 5 of the Comprehensive Plan and will get back to how much it will cost. Board was informed of a dog pick up in Drammen. It seems one of the dogs was not registered. Letter to be sent informing them to get the dog licensed by September 11, 2023, or a $100.00 fine would be issued. (Update – Letter sent. Dog was licensed but under a different name. Letter sent from Eau Claire Humane Society Officer) County Supervisor Allen Myren updated the board on a County wide committee to study how to cover Eau Claire County areas with Emergency Medical Services in the next two years. The City of Eau Claire is currently serving the northeast corner of Drammen and other parts of the county and will be terminating this service. The committee will be looking into alternatives to the current service. Current position papers for Acts 12 and 19 were distributed to the board for their review. If they have concerns, they should contact the clerk and it will be researched and discussed at the September meeting. One of the culverts on Sunny Nook Rd is failing.
