Village of Cross Plains Sustainability Committee Regular Meeting Notice and Agenda September 9th, 2026 6:00 pm This meeting will be held in-person at Village Hall and via Zoom. Present: Committee members Trustee Jed Henry, Melissa Gavin, Jenny Dedering and Brian Orland. Also Present: Public Facilities Director Matt Couey and Trustee Michael Pomykalski Public Comment There were no public comments. General Business Committee Member Reports. Orland mentioned he was in talks with Kane (Parks and Rec Director) about the Baer Park Ball Diamond lights. Gavin continues looking into a Solar Tour, possibly during Trout Days. Discussion and Possible Approval of August 19th, 2026 Sustainability Meeting Minutes. A motion was made by Dedering, seconded by Orland, and unanimously approved by the Sustainability Committee to approve the August 19th, 2026, Meeting Minutes. Discussion and Possible Action Regarding Renewable Energy/Energy Efficiency Goal Resolution for the Village of Cross Plains. Discussion on talking with the Village Board Members to get a feel for the direction they would like to go. Discussion and Possible Action on recommendations for updated Village Comprehensive plan A motion was made by Henry, seconded by Dedering, and unanimously approved by the Sustainability Committee to approve the recommendations as presented in the Village Comprehensive Plan to the board. Wrap Up, Next Steps, and Schedule Next Meeting. Next meeting to be held Wednesday October 14th, 2026 at 6:00 PM. Future Agenda Items Discussion on details of implementing a Village Tree Plan. Adjournment A motion was made by Henry, seconded by Orland, and unanimously carried by the Sustainability Committee to adjourn. Meeting ended at 7:21 pm. This meeting notice constitutes an official meeting of the above referenced group and was posted in accordance with all applicable laws related Open Meetings Law. It is possible that members of and possibly a quorum of members of other governmental bodies of the municipality may be in attendance at the above stated meeting to gather information. No action will be taken by any governmental body at the above stated meeting other than the governmental body specifically referred to above in this notice.
