TOWN OF YORK, DANE COUNTY MINUTES - May 12, 2025 The regular monthly meeting of the Town of York was called to order by Chairman Helwig at 6:00 pm on May 12, 2025. Those present were Chairman Helwig, Supervisor Auchtung, and Linda Henning, Clerk/Treasurer. Others present: Listed on the sign-in sheet attached to the original minutes. Public Comment: None. Posting of the agenda and meeting notice was verified by the Clerk/Treasurer. Approval of the agenda: Motion by Supervisor Auchtung with a second by Chairman Helwig to approve of the agenda as posted. Minutes of May 12, 2025: Motion by Supervisor Auchtung with a second from Chairman Helwig to approve of the minutes of the May 12th, 2025 Town Board meeting. Minutes approved with all present in favor. Clerk’s Report: The assessor would like to hold Open Book on June 3rd from 1 - 3 pm and Board of Review on June 10th, 2025 from 6 pm to 8 pm. All Board members were agreeable to these dates and times. None of the Board members are certified to vote at the BOR. There is a Planning & Zoning Committee meeting scheduled for June 2nd regarding eight parcels that the County would like rezoned. These properties were missed when the County rezoning took place. The Town is also due to review the Town Comprehensive Plan. Treasurer’s Report: The monthly treasurer’s report was reviewed by the Board along with the bills presented for payment. There is $57,268.03 in the Town General Checking Account as of 5/12/2025. There is $8,448.63 in the York Medina Cemetery account and $71,166.16 in the F & M Savings account. Motion by Chairman Helwig with a second from Supervisor Auchtung to approve for payment as presented bills for May. This includes checks #9371 thru #9382 including Electronic Funds Payments for utilities and payroll liabilities. Patrolman’s Report: Patrolman Kleven was not present, but he had submitted a written report. Historical Committee: The next meeting was set for June 14, 2025 at 9 am. Marshall Fire & EMS: Fireman’s pancake breakfast recruited a lot of new people. An RFP for EMS services to go out soon. Highway maintenance: Road inspection was completed. There was no further business on the agenda and on a motion by Chairman Helwig with a second from Supervisor Auchtung the meeting was adjourned. Meeting adjourned at 7:00 pm.
