Vienna Tourism — Minutes

Vienna Tourism Commission Minutes Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at 3:00pm Meeting held at Town of Vienna I. Call to Order: Karl Anderson called the meeting to order at 3:00pm. Members present: Jenny Olesen, Heike Compe, Theresa Stanford, Touny Manavong and Kathy Clark. II. Approval minutes: Motion by Olesen, to approve June minutes, seconded by Compe. All in favor. Motion carried. III. Approval of financials: Motion by Clark to approve June financials, seconded by Stanford. All in favor. Motion carried. IV. New Business: A. New Hire Administrative Position – Request Resume’s from interested parties, set up meeting to discuss position. Add to August agenda. B. Office Expenses- Cell phone reimbursement and office supplies for administrator. Motion by Olesen to add $1,000 to annual budget for office supplies, seconded by Clark. All in favor. Motion carried. C. Motion by Olesen to add line item not to exceed $500 for compensation for laptop, and supplies for the position, including an increase in pay to $25/hr., seconded by Clark. All in favor. Motion carried. D. Town of Vienna Business Window logos and design: Work with Market Media for creative logo and wording to order these. V. Old Business: A. Discover Wisconsin 2026 Episode- Events coming up August 2nd, Outstanding in the Field and the Kite Festival. Compe will be attending the Kite Festival and contact has been made with J. Henry for the other event. B. Madison Media Updates: Working on exit 126 information and promotions. C. Town of Vienna Updates: New proposed QTS Data Center is hosting an event on July 10th at the town hall to announce who they are and what they hope to build. D. Chamber of Commerce Updates: Starting to plan for Windsorfest, held the last week in September. Compe met with Committee to discuss Discovery Wisconsin scripts. VI. Any other business to come before the Vienna Tourism Commission: Theresa Stanford is stepping down from the commission for other opportunities. Touny Manavong is moving from the area and will no longer serve on the commission VII. Adjourn: Motion to adjourn by Clark to end meeting at 4:00pm, second by Manavong.
