Vienna Tourism — Minutes

Vienna Tourism Commission Minutes Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at 3:00pm Meeting held at Town of Vienna I. Call to Order: Karl Anderson called the meeting to order at 3:00pm. Members present: Jenny Olesen, Heike Compe, Theresa Stanford, and Kathy Clark. Touny was excused. Approval minutes: Motion by Olesen, to approve Mayl minutes, seconded by Stanford. All in favor. Motion carried. II. Approval of financials: Motion by Clark to approve May financials including reimbursement to Olesen, seconded by Compe. All in favor. Motion carried. III. New Business: A. Discover Wisconsin 2026 Episode: Olesen created a spreadsheet of suggested events to consider for the program. The committee is made up of Stacey Harmon, Guy Gryphan and Heike Compe. More information to be discussed at next meeting. B. Town of Vienna Purchase of Welcome Signs & Window logos: New signs have been posted and look great. If possible, the town would like to order more signs for other border locations. Motion by Anderson to approve up to $2,000 for purchase of 4 additional signs, seconded by Compe. All in favor. Motion carried. Note: Window logos and designs will be added to July meeting. IV. Old Business: A. Land End Purchases-Reimbursement: New logos are ready. Each member can go online and order clothing. Send receipts to Jenny for reimbursement. B. Admin Position for VTC: Still need to get this posted on Indeed and Facebook. Clark to send Olesen the information to include a start at $20 an hour, a laptop, google phone and work at home or town hall office. C. Madison Media Updates: Working on exit 126 information and promotions. D. Town of Vienna Updates: Town is working on new development. Board of Review was held and tax assessments approved for 2025 tax roll. E. Chamber of Commerce Updates: Golf Outing is done. Kite Festival is scheduled for August 2, 2025. Food trucks, DJ and Kite kits will be available. Next even to plan is the Windsorfest, end of September. V. Any other business to come before the Vienna Tourism Commission: None VI.
