Themailingwill gooutpriortothemeetingonOctober22.TheplanisconsistentwiththecurrentVermontlanduseplan.MovedtoapprovetheNR-IzoningoverlayforthetownofVermont. Thisdoesonlyapplytonewbuildinginridgetopareasanditonlyappliestoresidential buildings,notag,andanyexistingbuildingscanberebuiltastheywereincaseoffire.(actionreportpetition#12103)12.ReviewanddiscussionregardingpossibleamendmentstoChapter1TownGovernmentordinanceThetownattorneyrecommendedthatweremovethesectioninChapter1thatdealswiththespecificagendaitems.Wealsodidcheckthatourplanningcommissionappointmentschedulewascorrect,andwedohaveitcorrectlyintheordinanceforApril.Wewill bringadrafttotheOctobermeeting.13.Considerationandpossibleapproval ofletterstopropertyownersregardingturn-aroundsonTownRoadsThereareseveral concernswithturnarounds:snowplowing,school busesandsafety.Thetownneedsatleastaneasementwithlandownersandasurveycanbeexpensive.Thetownattorneyadvisedtheboardthatitisacceptableandnon-discriminatorytoprioritizetheroadsmostinneedofbetterturnarounds. Whileaspecial assessmentdistrictcouldtechnicallybecreatedtomanagethecosts,thecostofdoingthiscouldoutweighthecostsoftheturnaroundsthemselves. Theboardsupportssendingoutanoticetoall affectedroadpropertiesandthenalsostartingonthefourmosthighpriority.Haugen,Thumper,BroderickandKremerl.Karen,NickandJackwill workontheprocess.14.Considerationandpossibleapproval ofBohnroadbridgereplacementdesignsKarensharedthedocumentsfrom regardingtheBohnRoadbridgeRay Polkinghornbuildcosts.Theproposedcostsforthealuminumboxculvertbridgeis$215,260.
