SPRINGFIELD TOWN BOARD MEETING MINUTES Tuesday, September 26, 2017, 7:00 P.M. Springfield Town Hall I. CALL TO ORDER, ROLL CALL, PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Chair Don Hoffman called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Roll call shows Chair Hoffman and Supervisors Dave Laufenberg, Jim Pulvermacher, Art Meinholz, and Dan Dresen present. Also present were Road Patrolman Darin Ripp, Clerk/Treasurer Dianah Fayas and Deputy Clerk/Treasurer Jan Barman Pledge of Allegiance was recited. II. CONFIRMATION OF COMPLIANCE WITH OPEN MEETINGS LAW The Clerk confirmed that the agenda was posted at the town hall, on the Town website, emailed to the Town List Serve and local newspapers. Meeting is being recorded. III. INFORMAL PUBLIC COMMENT TIME None. IV. WORKSHOP FOR 2018 BUDGET PREPARATION The Board went through the budget line item by line item reviewing current year balances and entering preliminary numbers for 2018. The Board asked for the source(s) of revenue for the PILT line item and asked staff to pull the Shamrock Glenn contract for engineer cost estimates and the amount that was spent on the Foxfire road project. The Board would like to transfer unused Aging/Outreach money that was put into the Misc. Savings account from Misc. Savings to the General Fund to cover some of the 2017 Aging/Outreach expenditures. Deputy Barman asked and the Board tentatively agreed to allow Deputy Barman to use her remaining vacation time for COBRA payments upon her retirement. V. ADJOURN Motion by Sup. Pulvermacher, seconded by Sup. Meinholz to adjourn at 9:00 p.m. Motion carried.
