Town of Rutland Planning Commission Meeting-MINUTES 785 Center Rd. June 30, 2025 – 6:30 p.m. This meeting will be held via zoom and in person at the Rutland Town Hall 1. PC Chair Huycke called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm. 2. Roll Call Kent Knutson, Bill Boerigter, Josh Cooper, Derek Nedveck, Jim Huycke and alternate Michelle Perz were present. Kim Sime was present. Others in attendance were Kameron Cleveland, Robert Nelson and Peter Vanderveer. 3. Approval of the June meeting minutes. Cooper motioned to approve the Public meeting minutes. Second by Nedveck. Motion passed 5-0. Boerigter motioned to approve PC mins. Second by Nedveck. Motion passed 5- 4. Preliminary inquiry by Robert Nelson , 381 Danks Rd, regarding possible Conditional Use Permit. Discussion on the uses of the property and Nelson was informed of the CUP process. No action taken. 5. Preliminary inquiry by Erika Sweeney regarding parcel 052/0510-171-8071-2 that is 11 acres that is zoned RR-8. We would be looking to change the zoning to RR-2 with the intention of dividing it into 3 parcels- 1 for each of our children. Discussion on having Density study done to verify Building rights available on this property. No action taken. 6. Discussion and possible action on updating the conditional use permit process to conform with the Dane County CUP process. Discussion on keeping a Public Hearing in the Town process and adding verbiage of site viewing if needed, 13 (e), in the process document. Nedveck motioned to revise the CUP process document with 13 (e) as Follows, Plan Commission will consider relevant testimony and evidence, including professional analysis and/or a site visit when appropriate, regarding the standards. The CUP must be approved if all standards are met, with or Without conditions. The CUP must be denied if any standard is not met. Second by Knutson. Motion passed 4-1. Knutson motioned to recommend the Town Board to approve the revised CUP Process document as presented. Second by Boerigter. Motion passed 4-1 7. Discussion and possible recommendation to the Town Board: recommendation of a scanner and server for data storage of township records. No action taken. 8. Set meeting date.
