Chair Knutson called the meeting to order. Present in addition to Chair Knutson were supervisors Mark Porter, Nancy Nedveck and Jim Dorn; supervisor Sue Williams was absent. 2. Certification and compliance with open meetings law. All notices were posted and we are compliant. 3. Discussion and possible action on hiring an assessor. Motion Porter/ second by Dorn to approve a three-year maintenance contract with Accurate Appraisal at a cost of $10,500 per year; motion carried 4-0. 4. Adjournment. Motion by Nedveck/second by Dorn to adjourn the meeting; motion carried 4-0. TOWN OF RUTLAND MINUTES BUDGET PUBLIC HEARING SPECIAL TOWN MEETING TOWN BOARD MEETING November 21, 2024 - 6:30 P.M. 1. PUBLIC HEARING FOR REVIEW OF PROPOSED 2025 BUDGET. Chair Knutson called the public hearing for the proposed 2025 budget to order at 6:32 p.m. Chair Knutson closed the public hearing. 2. SPECIAL TOWN MEETING. The special town meeting was called to order by Chair Knutson. In attendance were Kent Knutson, Kim Sime, Dawn George, Jim Dorn and Mark Porter. a. RESOLUTION NO. 2024-11-1 FOR ELECTORS TO ADOPT THE 2024 TOWN TAX LEVY TO BE PAID IN 2025 PURSUANT TO 60.10(1)(a) WIS. STATS. Motion/second by Kim Sime/Jim Dorn to approve the 2025 tax levy of $992,560.00; motion carried 5-0. b. RESOLUTION NO. 2024-11-2 TO INCREASE THE ANNUAL SALARY FOR THE TOWN SUPERVISORS FROM $1000 TO $2000 PER YEAR. THIS WOULD TAKE EFFECT FOR THE NEXT TERM FOR EACH SUPERVISOR. Motion/second by Sime/George to adopt Resolution 2024- 11-02 to increase the annual salary of the supervisors by $1000 per year; motion carried 5- 0. c. OLD BUSINESS. No old business was brought up. d. NEW BUSINESS. No new business was brought up. e. ADJOURNMENT OF TOWN MEETING. Motion/2nd by Porter/Sime; motion carried 5-0. 3. TOWN BOARD MEETING. a.
