Knauer also commented in opposition to MyRec.com if it incurs credit card fees unless those fees could be charged to the cardholders. Committee Reports: Park/Recreation Department: Mommaerts gave the floor to Village Recreation Department Representative Melissa Sanchez to explain and answer questions regarding MyRec.com. The guidebooks that are mailed out three times per year have become quite costly. Sponsorship income does not cover the expense. The annual cost of MyRec based on revenue would be $3,445. There are some base credit card processing fees estimated at $636 per year. That is $4,081 to have a website that will allow participants to enroll in programs. It would also create rosters versus manually entering them on spreadsheets. This would hopefully free up time for the recreation director to look for new programs and sponsors. The savings of printing and mailing the guidebooks would be about $5,000 per year. Motion by Hajewski to approve MyRec.com to help manage the Joint Recreation Department programs and registrations. Second by Lang. Motion carried, 5-0. Garbage Pickup & Recycling: Hajewski reported the only complaint received was a delay in receiving a replacement bin. Domagalski followed up that there was no response to the agricultural equipment road runoff incident reported last month. Domagalski also reported personally on a bulk item not picked up. Roads Report: Kugel reported the new tractor is due for routine maintenance. Parker Power will do this on-site. The DPW Superintendent is having phone issues but will give it time due to US Cellular transition to T-Mobile. Chairperson Report: Mommaerts reported the passing of Waukesha County Executive Paul Farrow. Citizen Correspondence: A letter was received making a request to broadcast town meetings. Cost and possible IT issues were discussed. An anonymous zoning complaint was received. The Zoning Code Enforcement Policy needs to be followed for any discussion or action to take place. Requests by supervisors for future agenda items: No requests were made. Upcoming Meetings: Mommaerts announced Planning and Zoning is August 5 at 5:30pm. It will be held jointly with the Town Board. The next regular Town Board meeting is Wednesday August 19 at 6:30pm. Closed session pursuant to Wis. Stat.
