Special Town Board Meeting — Minutes

TOWN OF EAGLE TOWN BOARD SPECIAL MEETING July 1, 2026 Approved Minutes Chairperson Mommaerts called the meeting to order at 5:16pm. Roll Call: F. Lang, R. Hajewski, R. Kugel, D. Domagalski, and C. Mommaerts were present. Discussion/action for the Town of Eagle and the Village of Eagle to join together in a unified fire department: Mommaerts asked to move forward to put plans on a piece of paper, stating we are not saying we are or aren’t staying with North Prairie; we just need to have a plan in place. Motion by Kugel to join with the Village of Eagle in a unified fire department workshop committee. Second by Lang. Motion carried, 5-0. Discussion/action to appoint Lori Kugel to the Alice Baker Library Board: One of the current citizen appointees, Barb Puza, has approached Mommaerts asking to step down. A public comment was received via email. Lang addressed the comment, stating the concern is appreciated, however it is important to recognize that everyone has bias and appointing Lori would be a good cross-section of our population. Motion by Domagalski to accept the appointment of Lori Kugel to the Alice Baker Library Board. Second by Lang. Motion carried, 4- 0 (R. Kugel abstained). Discussion/action on Brew City Quote: Motion by Kugel to accept the quote as submitted. Second by Hajewski. Motion carried, 5-0. Codification training session with General Code via Zoom at 5:30pm: Jeanie Sanders of General Code virtually met with the board via Zoom. Sanders advised of best practices for navigating the eCode360 portal and how to proceed in answering the questions that are posed on the portal. The board will look at additional dates to proceed with the code review. Motion to adjourn was made by Kugel. Hajewski seconded the motion. All in favor. The meeting was adjourned at 6:43pm.
