TOWN & VILLAGE OF EAGLE JOINT RECREATION DEPARTMENT COMMITTEE MEETING Minutes Wednesday, March 11, 2026 Municipal Building (820 E. Main St) Meeting was called to order at 6:35 Open Meeting Law Requirements were checked/Verified Committee Members in Attendance: Town of Eagle Board Member Ryan Hajewski, Village of Eagle Board Member Shelley Elmblad, Melissa Sanchez, Director Reebee Ratkowski (Non-voting) Committee Members Absent: Liz Dums Members of the Public in Attendance: None Citizens Comments: N/A Approval of the Nov 12, 2025, Committee Meeting Minutes: Melissa Sanchez made a motion to approve the Nov 12, 2025, Committee Meeting Minutes. Shelley Elmblad Seconded. All in Favor. Motion Passed. Review of Recreation Department Financials: Committee Members reviewed the bank statement and Profit and Loss Budget Performance Statement. Questions that had arisen from the last town board meeting were addressed. The rec department will work within its budget and will manage it. Large items will be sent to the board. A discussion of the rent being charged by the town ensued. One consideration is the need to add a new Pickleball Screen to the budget. It was suggested that they collect information on the screen and do research into what would be needed to purchase a new screen. Shelley Elmblad made a motion to approve the financials as presented. Melissa Sanchez seconded. All in Favor. Motion Passed. Recreation Director Report: Director Reebee Ratkowski gave a report on her work since the last meeting. She is actively working on the next Activity Guide. She is collecting sponsorships. Pickleball is adding morning sessions on Mondays and Wednesdays during the summer. Basketball wrapped up. Spring Soccer needs two coaches. Some questions on the municipal calendar came up regarding conflicts between Library Activities and activities that the Rec Department is running. Skyhawks will be offering camps and activities. There is a brand-new Pickleball Tournament planned for Kettle Moraine Days. WPRA Discount Tickets to a few different attractions will be offered. Questions regarding Recreation Software were brought up. It was recommended that a cost vs benefit analysis be created on the issue. Spring Recreation Guide: Work on the Winter Activity Guide is about 75 percent complete. Reebee hopes to have a copy sent to the printer on March 23rd.
