The main discussion was eight proposed, off-site mound systems. Micech responded to a flooding complaint on Cedar Creek Road just east of the new bridge. He thanked the board for budgeting for CPA assistance with this year’s CT form. It went much smoother than any previous report. It will also be easier on the new clerk who may not have experience in doing this type of submittal. The Board of review is Thursday May 21, and we do have one objection to consider. Clerk will be on vacation the first week in June. With regards to the comments from Gail Trapp on late registrations; These do not happen online. Consider Amendments to the Town of Jackson 5 Year Road Improvement Plan – Eichner present a partially amended 5-yr Plan for 2026 and 2027. 2026 road projects will be Church Road full reconstruct and Maple Road placement of surface course. Both Roads run from Sherman Road to STH 60. Chip seal was supposed to be Church Road, Center Road, and Cedar Creek Road. But with Cedar Creek Road being a shared road and because we are getting push back from the village not to seal it, we instead added Center Road from Western Ave to Sherman Road. And because they did not require much crack filling, we moved Magna Vista Parkway and Honeywood Parkway to sealing this year. This can all be done under our proposed seal coating budget. For 2027, the proposed road reconstruction work will be Jackson Drive from the south line of Twin Creeks subdivision to Pioneer Road. We also have the Pioneer project to be done in 2027. But costs should be minimal in comparison. For chip sealing we could do Wildwood Lane, Tesla Run and Crest Hill Court. And the stub of Spring Valley Road east of Jackson drive which would be patching and a new chip seal. Forest Hills Subdivision, which was scheduled for 2027, could move to 2028, and be a mix of reconstruction and resurfacing. Eichner will present an amended report next month. 25. The roof leaks appear to finally be fixed. 27. Grounds report – Kufahl confirmed that the Board hired one new Building & Grounds employee and we will offer a position to a second one. He applied for the Buildings and Grounds but backed out. He believes the Recycling Center attendant would be better suited for him. 31. Highway/Chairman’s report – Lead Patrolman Brei reported that he and patrolman Fischer attended WTA “Road School” and learned a lot. The Tiger Mower has been repaired by St. Lawrence Equipment. The crew was shown how the shoulder reclaimer works on the Mower and the crew did some test areas with it. Truck 12 is still being worked on by Ralph Williams Towing. Fabick came out to pull the front bucket off the backhoe. The pins were rusted tight from salt corrosion. Fischer has been maintaining the lawns at Town hall until new workers were hired. Local pavement looked at some of our roads and showed the crew how to properly spray patch. We received an hour of free spray patching.
