approved 2 more signs for Eickstedt on the building and at the STH 60 round-about. Discussions have started with
Mrs. Hoffmann on the Memorial stone and plaque with the dedication occurring at the Annual Picnic in August.
Windmill Trace subdivision will be coming back to Park & Planning very soon. A landscape berm will be constructed

band for the picnic. We are working on banners with a company in Grafton. We have been working on the Facebook
page. We found the password, but the page has been idle for so long that we must start over. Fireworks will be done
by the person who did them last year. We are trying to get more participation from JAYBA this year – coaches in the
dunk tank.

17. Update and discussion on the Road Tour scheduled for March 21, 2026 – Eichner presented a ratings summary
for the roads in advance of the road tour. Several residents that travel Jackson Drive between Sherman Road and
Pioneer Road asked that the Jackson Drive reconstruction be moved up from 2029, as the road seems to be
deteriorating very quickly. Hartwig reported that the Village is willing to discuss a joint project for the portion of
Jackson drive under joint jurisdiction.
18. Update on the railing repairs for the Pleasant Valley Road Bridge – Eichner will be meeting with the engineer that
gave the Town the repair estimate on March 20th to see if they can provide project oversight for the bridge repairs.
Hopefully, we will have a proposal and recommendation for the April meeting.
BOARD REPORTS
19. Washington County Board report – The board commended Paul Boden for 28 years of service with the Highway
Department. They also set wages for several employees. The County Board Chairman and Hartwig attended the East
Wisconsin Counties Railroad Consortium meeting in Juneau. The consortium will spend $11.2 million on bridge
repairs next year.
20. Buildings report – Steve & James opened the ceiling in the upper Ladies’ room and the hallway to try to find the
source of the leak. A contractor is coming out to check the chimney by the apartment and some of the window ledges.
Roof only leaks when there is driving rain from the east, so the theory is that the leaks are somewhere on the exterior
walls of the apartment above the bathrooms. Dave received a complaint about gravel in the ditch on Church Road.
James looked at it. The crew will clean it up. Mark replaced the garbage disposal in the pavilion. Gutter guards are
here stored in the North garage.
21. Grounds report – The concrete heaved by the pavilion, but it seems to have settled back down once the frost was
gone. There may be a problem with one of the downspouts that led to freezing and raising the concrete. We will check
it and see if anything needs to be done before JAYBA starts up in April.
22. Weed Commissioner’s report – No Report
23. Equipment Manager report – Hartwig was contacted by Ozaukee County Fleet about the package for truck 26. They
have a Henderson Box and a Universal plow, wing, and salter. We got the ok from Monroe to use another package as
we have nothing tying us to Monroe. We still must confirm what Ozaukee County is using, but if its ok, we could have
the truck by July or August.
24. Transfer Station report – February with the new tags went well. The Town purchased heaters for the Transfer
station. Many positive comments that the heaters were purchased. There are issues with workers missing shifts. We
should address the missed work with Brian Henke with warning. Thursday Hours begin April 2nd. People are still
putting garbage on the burn pile. We should get a permanent no dumping sign and start fining for illegal dumping.
25. Highway/Chairman’s report – Took in 300 ton of salt. Have another 100 ton to accept delivery on by April 30th. The
crew has been checking signs for reflectivity and replacing the signs that no longer reflect. All signs north of Highway
60 are done. Skid loader needs welding done and needs new tires as well. Estimate is $3000-$5000 to repair,
replacement would be between $10,000 and $14,000. At this point repair is more effective than replacement. Truck 12
needs repairs, injectors and sensors need replacement, about $6000 quote from Ralph Williams vs $10,000 from
Lakeside. Tiger Mower is due for a 4000-hour checkup, costing about $7000. Working on trimming low tree branches
near roads and cleaning up trees on Maple Road north of Sherman. Crew would like to have Branch Out Land
Clearing to come in and mow the scrub brush and trees from the west lot at the Garage and clear the brush along
Sherman between Church Rd and Division Rd. John Mueller Tree Service gave quote of $6800. To clear a dozen or
more large trees along Church Rd between Western Ave and Sherman Road. This work needs to be done before the
road is chip sealed this year. The Town’s woodchipper will probably need to be replaced next year. And purchasing a
bucket truck would be helpful as well as would an ATV or UTV for working on the Park Trail system.
26. Communications and announcements – None
27. Review of bills and authorization of payment – Motion by Bishop, second by Huettl to approve payment of bills.
Motion carried 5-0.
28. Adjournment – Motion by Huettl, second by Behringer to adjourn at 9:37pm. Motion carried 5-0.
Respectfully submitted,
Robert M Eichner Robert H Hartwig
