Page 1 of 2 Town of Merton Town Board Meeting Minutes of July 13, 2026 • Meeting Called to Order by Chairman Klink 6:30 pm • Pledge of Allegiance led by Chairman Klink • Minutes of the June 22, 2026 Town Board Meeting. A motion to approve the Public Hearing Minutes and the Town Board Minutes of June 22, 2026 Town Board Meeting was made by Fleming/Krogman. Discussion followed that the approval included the Public Hearing Minutes. Motion carried. Present: Chairman Klink, Supervisors Olson, Fleming and Krogmann, Treasurer Kempen, DPW Director Griffin, and Clerk Hann. Absent: Attorney Murn and Supervisor Herrick. Also, in attendance: Chief Wraalstad, Paul Wiesehuegel, Andy Gehl, Dan Carow, Rick Zimbric Citizen Comments and Concerns: Chief Wraalstad reviewed the run report for the board. Asst Chief Hoffman gave a Western Lake Report for the board. Old Business: None New Business: Consider/Act on Ordinance pursuant to Resolution #07012026A approved by the Plan Commission, on July 1, 2026, to amend the Town of Merton Comprehensive Land Use Plan – 2035, and map, to change the land use signation from “Governmental and Institutional” to “Rural Density and Other Agricultural Lands”. The property is located N56W30020 CTH K, (32 acres) Hartland WI, TAX KEY MRTT 0396-999-006. Chairman Klink commented on request that was reviewed by the plan commission. A motion to approve an Ordinance pursuant to Resolution #07012026A approved by the Plan Commission, on July 1, 2026, to amend the Town of Merton Comprehensive Land Use Plan – 2035, and map, to change the land use signation from “Governmental and Institutional” to “Rural Density and Other Agricultural Lands” for property located at N56W30020 CTH K, (32 acres) Hartland WI, TAX KEY MRTT 0396-999-006 was made by Fleming Olson. Motion carried. Consider/Act on Ordinance pursuant to Resolution #07012026B approved by the Plan Commission, on July 1, 2026, to amend the Town of Merton Comprehensive Land Use Plan – 2035, and map, to change the land use signation from “Governmental and Institutional” to “Rural Density and Other Agricultural Lands”. The property is located N56W30020 CTH K, (8 acres) Hartland, WI, TAX KEY MRTT 0396-999-002. Chairman Klink explained the recommendation of the Plan Commission. A motion to approve an Ordinance pursuant to Resolution #07012026B approved by the Plan Commission, on July 1, 2026, to amend the Town of Merton Comprehensive Land Use Plan – 2035, and map, to change the land use signation from “Governmental and Institutional” to “Rural Density and Other Agricultural Lands” for property located at Page 2 of 2 N56W30020 CTH K, (8 acres) Hartland, WI, TAX KEY MRTT 0396-999-002 was made by Fleming/Krogmann. Motion carried. Consider/Act on 2026-2027 Alcohol Licenses for North Lake Yacht Club. Clerk Hann explained the Yacht Club does need a license. A motion to approve the 2026-2027 Alcohol License for North Lake Yacht Club was made by Fleming/Krogmann. Motion carried. Consider/Act on Updating HOA Restrictions for Mary Hill Park Subdivision Located off of Dorn and Ryback Road. DPW Director Griffen explained the request of the HOA and the town board has to sign off and approve the update. A motion to approve updating HOA Restrictions for Mary Hill Park Subdivision Located off of Dorn and Ryback Road was made by Fleming/Olson. Motion Carried. Consider/Act on amending ordinance of the Town of Merton Municipal Code, Section 3.09 Withdrawal or Disbursement from Local Treasury. Treasurer Kempen reviewed the recommendations of the Town’s Association on check signing and updating the Town Ordinance. A motion to approve amending ordinance of the Town of Merton Municipal Code, Section 3.09 Withdrawal or Disbursement from Local Treasury was made by Krogmann/Fleming. Motion Carried. Consider/Act on resolution to fill vacancy and appoint Municipal Court Judge. Clerk Hann state Judge Kay retired and we have to approve this resolution to fill the position. A motion to approve resolution to fill vacancy and appoint Municipal Court Judge was made by Fleming/Olson. Motion Carried. Clerk, Board, Highway, Treasurer and Attorney Reports. DPW Director Paul Griffin what road work needs to be done yet for the year. Salt numbers are going up. Clerk Hann stated that there is going to be a Special Election for Waukesha County in December with a possible Primary in November. Vouchers as Presented – A motion to approve the vouchers as presented was made by Olson/Krogmann. Motion carried. Budget to Actual – A motion to approve the Budget to Actual as presented was made by Fleming/Olson. Motion carried. Quarterly Journal Report – A motion to approve the Quarterly Journal Report as presented was made by Fleming/Olson. Motion carried. Adjourn - A motion to adjourn was made by Fleming/Krogmann.
